TTR Pocket - how to view incomplete destination tickets?

Apologies if this has been asked and answered already; it is very hard to search for "ticket" in this forum. 
I've recently acquired Ticket To Ride Pocket (yay!), and I was wondering how one is meant to view incomplete destination tickets.
I can scroll through completed destination tickets by tapping the pile of destination tickets in the lower right corner, and sometimes if I tap a lot, I can view the incomplete tickets as well, but I have not figured out what method of tapping or swiping brings up the incomplete destination tickets pile.
Any help would be appreciated!

Every time you click on the tickets, it brings the next one to the top. This means that you simply keep clicking until you see an unfinished ticket on top.
Another way to see what cities you still need to connect with, is to look for the glowing city spots. Once they are completed, the circles are no longer highlighted...

This isn't working for me (at least not consistently) -- if I have four complete and one incomplete tickets, I can easily click on the pile 20 times and only see the 4 completed tickets. Should I be clicking somewhere specific? Left side of the card? Right side? Swiping?
The dots are helpful when I only have one ticket left to complete, but if I have four or five unfinished tickets, it's not obvious which ones connect to which!
