And my personal favorite: Memoir Zombie Apocalypse. Take the zombie figs from another game. They move forward mindlessly looking for brains, close assault only. Unlimited reinforcements, gradually increasing. How long can you last? Score attack game, total figures killed. History fans, you might want to sit this one out.

Or as I posted a while ago: an expansion with Germany's ultimate secret weapon. The Haunebu! Laughing

An expansion with Germany's secret weapons V1 an V2 could be interesting.

Movement trays for the INF units !

On the 'flagpole' or in the groundplate, there could be made a 'attachment spot' for a badge.

Also in the back off the groundpiece some small 'ammo spots' for special units (or all units ?)

I was thinking off units that 'mark' the equipment they cary with them. Ex. Engineers: 3 spots: 2 bangalors, 1 mine sweeper (this last piece could be a permenent piece for multiple use).
Ex. Flametrower Inf: limited in fuel
Ex. Engineers: Dynamite to drop into and clear out or destroy bunkers.
Ex. SAW with limited ammo after they moved (since they cant cary arround unlimited ammo)
/-> coming out off this, action card for an ammo depot refill and also AMMO trucks and HT.

I gess there are so many new possibilities in this ! Rolling Eyes

I second this idea of moving trays for infantry (4 spots) with a flagpole on which you can fix the badges (engineers, elites, ...) .
When the badges are lying down, they are not visible enough.

Alternatively:
- engineer figures (with a large backpack and other equipment) I think this is missing in the equipment pack.
- elite figures (in running position?) but this might get much if we need them for every army.

That would be cool! Very Happy Visually appealing and a better/easy way to move units around the board.

Like the way Tide of Iron does it with slots for Engineer, Medic, Anit-Tank etc.

The only problem in Memoir44 with unit trays is the size of the hexes on the map. The tray will probably be even large as the hex so it will be difficult to see what's underneath.

The hexes for Memoir 44 and Tide of Iron are 62mm wide so the bases or trays do not interfere with knowing what terrain is underneath.

Hello,

I know is two years ahead... But since the production of such a big project seems to be a long and complicated process,

- what would you like for the 10th Anniversary of the game?

I'd like to have 2 sort of products:

- New battlemaps, to commemorate the 10 years of the game, and
- A special edition of the core game having British Troops (European Front) with its specific armor/artillery units and German Late War Infantry, for example, (or any other type of German Infantry units, different from those included in the vanilla 2004 game) with its specific armor/artillery units as well, providing a new full set of scenarios.

That would encourage senior players getting an additional base game.

What do you guys think?

OMG, I know I am bringing the bad luck in to my mailbox but I would not mind playing more modern battles with M44, e.g the Battle of Khafji (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Khafji). Surely then it would be Memoir 1991 and would need new figures like T55 for Iraq and Abrams for the US.

Re:What would you like for the 10th Anniversary of Memoir44? Wed, 21 November 2012 02:05
I think what we will most likely see (IMHO) for expansions/etc are the following:

1) Campaign Book 3
2) An Italian Army Expansion
3) A Desert Wars Expansion featuring a theme deck (like winter wars)
4) More overlord battle maps
5) A campaign book for Breakthrough scenarios
6) A campaign book for Overlord scenarios
7) A re-release of the Air Pack
8 ) An Overlord Command deck

1,4,5 and 6 could go on indefinitely. As for Breakthrough, we need more scenarios in general; especially on the Pacific front.

So, there's still a lot more DOW can do to further expand the M44 system. However, I do feel they system is close to coming to fruition.

oh, and btw, a really big campaign bag or army jeep to carry your expansions. After buying the expansion pack, I can no longer fit everything in my campaign bag Sad

Greetings All,

Seems like we would all like more of everything! Very Happy

I'd like to be able to buy the Command Decks seperately, along with Winter Wars and City Fight Decks.

This would certainly facilitate running 4 or 5 boards at the local club.

Many great ideas in this thread!

But I would leave the Zombie and Irons Sky versions to the fans and would settle for a nice set of etched dice!

And the possiblity to buy all those little stuff seperatly.

Dices, card deck of all kind and maybe develop a new special card deck like winter wars but used by the normal standard scenario's.

I like the surprise effect of such cards while playing F to F.

Hello to all, I'm new here, but wanted to contribute to this thread:

I'm surprised that nobody have mentioned that 2014 is not "just" the 10th Anniversary of Memoir44, it's ALSO the 100th Anniversary of WW1!!

That's why we need: Memoir 14

Think the possibilites:

- So many different nationalities in that war: Germany vs France in a base game, with endless potential for expansions with Britain, Austria-Hungary, Russia, Italy, USA, Serbia, etc.

- New terrain types such a Trenches and No-man's land. New terrain tiles such as crater holes for protection, etc.

- Cool WW1-specific elite units and weapons such as Stormtroopers, Flamethrowers, Poison Gas, early Tanks, Cossacks, Guards Regiments, each with their specific tactics.

- Incredibly cool airplanes for an Air expansion, with aces like Von Richtofen, Udet, Rickenbacker, Voss, Fonck, etc.

WW1 was surely static at the strategic level, but it was fairly dynamic at the tactical level, and planes were much slower compared to WW2, so the interaction with ground forces was more interesting (many planes were shot down by rifle fire from ground)

- Lot of potential for Campaigns, such as the Schlieffen plan, The Marne, Verdun, The Somme, Lawrence of Arabia, Operation Michael, Gallipoli, etc.

Hasbro is doing Axis & Allies 1914 for the centenary, we surely don't want to miss this chance with M44.

Yep, Brummbar created a World War I game that uses Memoir 44 pieces. It's called Dire Heroes...and is available here:

How about a blank folding overlord map with country on one side and beach on the other? (then a later expansion could be the winter/desert map!)

Shouldn't there be a way to indicate which battleships belong to which side? Once they start mingling, it might get confusing.
And you forgot the aircraft carrier with the Kamikaze Zeros.
