Balanced Campaigns

Hello,
I'd like to hear some experienced voices from seasoned players regarding how balanced are the following campaigns:
- Invasion of Crete
- Barbarrosa (Center, North or South)
Thanks

If you and your opponent play the campaign from both sides, it'll be balanced in the long run.

Regarding Barbarossa (quoting): "We recommend the least experienced player take the Allies - winning with the Axis is a stiff challenge as it was historically".
I can only comment, that Soviets should make good use of their reserves if they are to make the campaign a challenge for the Axis.

My last playing of Barbarossa where I took the Germans, as I was most experienced ended close enough for my liking.
North was tied, Center was tied and in the south I won by 1 medal.
12 scenarios and 1 medal separated us.
We played this campaign on vassal pbem and actually played all three branches at the same time. A thrilling experience, where the Germans dominated the first phase, but just held on to take the narrowest of wins after the Russians steamed ahead in the second phase.
I think Barbarossa is the best campaign in Memoir.
Invasion of Crete is not a campaign, it is just a collection of scenarios centered on the Crete campaign. My playing of it strongly favoured the Germans in this one, but the 3rd and 4th scenarios are very cool.

Stig,
Thanks for the inputs. Definitively, we will play Barbarrosa.

The only thing that can make it unbalanced is the "What If" event if you play a campaign both ways.
A house rule could be,playing both sides and to roll only 1 time for the what if event, and use it both ways.

Good point.
For example, in the CB2 Island Hoppers campaign, Jungle Fighters are a big advantage for the Japanese early in the campaign, but useless in some later scenarios.
