Snipers vs. Tanks	Tue, 08 January 2013 19:04

The rules say that Snipers cannot attack tanks, but that all units have to attack enemy units adjacent to them. So does this mean that by driving my tanks next to enemy snipers I can effectively prevent them from firing (unless they move and change their position)? [Reporter ce message au modérateur]

Hello, you are right when you say that snipers cannot attack armour units and if the sniper is adjacent to an armour unit, it has to move before targeting. I've never run into a situation in which several armour units were able to block a sniper though. Cheers [Reporter ce message au modérateur]

Quote:

Note: If a Sniper is adjacent to an enemy unit it must combat the adjacent unit.
If the only adjacent unit is a tank, which a Sniper cannot target, the sniper must move before he may battle.

However, if there are other enemy units (Infantry, Artillery) adjacent to the Sniper, he may attack them, just not the Armor units. Please note the use of the word ONLY unit in the rules description.
