Eric,
I might be a little rusty on my Finnish, but from where I sit, I think it says AXIS 5, ALLIES 0!!! A wild guess on my part, history was never my best subject.
Well done so far by the AXIS, ALLIES will have to sweep the last 4 to stay within striking distance and keep the bonus at a minimum.

Alas you spotted the weakness in my post there. I cannot find it on the interweb.
I read it as "H- Tiin" to the left an "M- Vaan" to the left (a case could be made for Varn)
Googling gets me:
Tiin - was (past tense of to be)
Vaan - but (conjunction: used to introduce an added statement, usually something that is different from what you have said before)
They aren't geographical I presume after not finding either of them in Google maps.
Maybe some finnish M44 player can shed light on this.
PS: on a side note there is a Saesee Tiin who is a powerfull Ikotchi Jedi.
I could not make a post without a picture in it could I

Everyone,
Since we are down to our last battle in our first scenario, I have posted on the SFTF page 3 scenarios, Broken Ring, Demyansk Pocket and Battle of the Kerch Pennisula. ( I kind of like all 3 of these and they're all in 1942 so you guys can decide) The Allies, and specifially HELCAT, will determine which battle we will use. This ability to select a scenario will not happen every round. Our next scenario(#3) after this one will be Stalingrad North, Rattenkrieg.
At this time, HELCAT can let Sam know who his 2 point player will be and then Sam can make the lineup. Since the Axis will have an edge after the first round, and once HELCAT determines which scenario we will play, Sam can let me know where to place the Axis advantage. Then I will post the scenario online for us to start the second round.

Well, 3 to chose from and all appear very interesting and with distinct advantages for either side, looks like SAC Helcat has a very important decision to make given the bonus of any unit except mobile ART for the AXIS.
Of course, the way I see it, it is just another AXIS unit that must DIE!!! No adavantage there unless they die last making a valiant effort at victory!!
And as CLOROFILA stated, sure any will be a blast to play, 7-2 AXIS and yes, thank goodness for GEOFF!!!

Greetings to all, and welcome to Round 2.
We earned enough points at Viipuri to claim an extra artillery, but it will be more valuable for us to have an extra Panzer on the board. I have requisitioned some fresh armor, to be placed in our second row, between the two SF infantries. We'll have to earn some artillery later.
Because many people in the USA have a holiday next Monday, I think this will be a good round to schedule some trans-oceanic matches.
Our 2-point player will be Artimon.
sam1812 vs Helcat
Artimon vs Jaykay2010
clorofila vs gheintze
Dugrim vs lucky91
Jeronimon vs van Voort
JJs Juggernaut vs tank commander
LooneyLlama vs JAParker
Vercingetorix1302 vs Gonzalan
Good luck to all, and let's all have fun!

Looks like V1302 and I have our match scheduled for later today, 1:30 Denver time. We were both online just now and he invited my to practice, obviously not knowing we were scheduled to play in the tournament!! Too funny, good thing I had just read S1812's posting of the matches!!!
Perhaps I should have kept that to myself and got an idea as to how his mind works, well obviously, since he defeated SAC Helcat!!!
Alas, honor won out and let him know we were scheduled to meet and thus our meeting is set for 4 hours later from now at 1:30/21:30 respectively.
Will try to bring home the 1st victory for the ALLIES in the this, the 2nd round.
Onward and upwards Comrades, fight until the last man has fallen!!

Gentlemen,
Kerch Peninsula has now been modified to take into account the advantage earned by the Axis. The Rosette armor is the extra unit due to the 5 game advantage. Any matches played before the placement of this unit must be replayed. Good luck to all.

Looney,
Was just there and noticed the new ARMOR, looks nice with the blue shield and white cross, makes for an easy target!!!
No, don't think anyone has played and V1302 and I have our match in 2 hours time, timely update on your part, well done!!!
Thanks again for your work, time and effort you put into the scenarios, now they just have to translate into ALLIED victories!!!

Attention Everyone,
'Battle of the Kerch Peninsula' is now 'Battle of the Kerch Peninsula, tournament revision'. Once we are done with this round, I will change the scenario back to its original form and name. So, if you want to watch a replay later just add 'tournament revision' to the scenario name to see it. All future tournament games will have 'tournament revision' after it. I think this will help any confusion as to which scenario you played in the tournament.

The first battle of round two resulted in an Axis victory.
Especially turn 15 deserves your attention, since it yielded 4 medals for the Axis in a single turn.
I thank Gonzalan for the exiting battle and wish him luck in future battles.

Looney,
A master of the understatement you are!!! Yes, a very well devised and well coordinated attack on the part of VXC1302 and definitely swung the battle in his favor, basically finished me off in 2 turns.
In reviewing, as I stated, no RECONS/AP/AS to at least give him pause on his forward push and only 2 LEFT cards all game, the 1st card I played and then drew one on my last move turn and didn't get to play, not much for my troops to do on that side, but sit there and die like men!!!
Eventually got the cards for a RIGHT attack, but didn't pan out and by then he had advanced on my LEFT to the EXIT point, not much that I could do on that SIDE, VXC1302 played it well and used the cards to set it all up, it was well done on his part.

Jim,
And a new rider comes in and denies the AXIS 2 pts and garners 1 pt for the good guys! Yes, practise for you, practice for me, apparently the only way I am currently contributing to the ALLIES cause at the moment!
Well fought on both sides and excellent win, as for ARTIMON, his usual stalwart self and gave as good as he got!
With these 3 ALLIED victories, makes me wonder what I am doing wrong!! Other than being defeated by very good players!

Yes, it would, but we must do something about the score!!! That most certainly will not do, mine especially!!
After this round, 0-2, 4-7 and 5-8 scores, not closing the gap any, still losing by 3!!! Luckily 8 more rounds in which to improve!!

Jeroen,
Thanks for the chart, BUT I don't think we need it. My deficiencies as a commander are exposed for all to see. Just kidding. It's very helpful for the leaders to assign opponents, though I don't think there is any one for me to play, unless one of the Soviet commanders gets knocked off and a rookie takes his place.
I seem to do much better in the BGG tournaments, not my own.
