Hi,
At start, sorry for my awful english but, as you maybe know, i'm french. I hope you will excuse me.
As you all know, Jacques "jdrommel" honored us a few weeks ago a new campaign called "Operation Compass". But a so beautiful campaign deserved a more dignified development. It is in this spirit that I undertook to revise the look of the campaign.
For this, I once again put Jacques involved, because after all, this is his campaign.
I begun with french version but now, I'm very proud to presente you the first release of the english translation.
Be quit, I have not translated this myself. .
I am therefore pleased to offer this new version of Opération Compass
Thanks again Jacques
A overview of campaign booklet :
As you guessed, the translation is not easy for us. Also, if you think we made mistakes, we will be happy to correct them.
Have fun et enjoy it.
Michel/Endicott

Thanks to all of you for another awesome campaign!
And thanks for adding me in the credits for the Spanish translation, even though I haven't started yet this one!
Incidentally, may I have the source document for a faster translation?
Cheers

Thanks for another beautiful file. I love this stuff.
Comments:
* on page 1 there should be a better mask so the text doesn't run under the graphics (1st paragraph on the left)
* page 2, 3 header: egypte instead of egypt
* page 3: source would be "Wikipedia - Operation Compass"
* page numbering is faulty after page 3 (start with 2 again)
* on the 2nd page 3 you start the 2nd paragraph with "but". you should find another way to phrase this, it's poor to start a paragraph with but, especially since you already start with but on the last sentence of the previous paragraph.
* the front label on each scenario is still in french (Théâtre Méditerranéan)
* The references made in special rules to Compendium Cards, the english titles are:
- Troops (not Troop)
- Actions (not Action)
- Nations (not Nation)
* scenarios 4, 5, 7, 9: the special rule for BCF says "use TO units" instead of "use FOR units"
* scenario 1: same (to/for) with elite armor
* scenario 7, 8: same (to/for) with specialized units
* scenario 8: same (to/for) with wadis
* scenario 9: same (to/for) with anti-tank
* last page: ...especially the battles of Operation Compass...
* last page: instead of: go straight for the lybian desert dunes -> head straight for the Lybian desert dunes

With all these campaigns coming to the light I really think the Campaigns from the Front would be cool

If you don't mind me asking, what program did you use to put this together?

For Toenails, new two pages of historical context will be translated next week.
For Compass, I'll wait that players comment it (for making corrections).
Be sure I'll give you that ASAP
But you can begin your translation in a text document and when I'll send you source document, you will just do a cut and paste

Yes, I use Publisher 2010 for designing document, but if I could, I would use Adobe Creative suite because it's offering more fonctions, tools or options. But, it is also more expensive ...
For creating pictures, I use Paint Shop Pro.
Regards,
Michel/Endicott.
