FLOOD error Tue, 17 December 2013 19:46
All my friends and I have FLOOD error. Deal with it pls.
After that: Can't open STEAM. WTF?!

4 players can't play Sad Never saw such awful games in Steam. Why it's hard to build Board game? It's not Dota 2 or Starcraft 2.

Couldn't open a session on steam: user is offline. All 4 get the same. LOL.

"An error just happened: Could not open a session on Steam : "
!!!

First you compare the developers to drunk students, then, when a problem occurred, you are asking them to help you, lol! Nobody has this problem except you and your friends, so something must be wrong with your machines. Malware or pirate software... Have you tried to reinstall both the Steam client and the game?

Also you're being extremely vague with your issue. Maybe give the developers something to work with. This is similar to someone telling a mechanic "my car is making a funny sound."

Start off by giving the developers what OS you're running. What hardware specs you have. ATI graphics card or nVidia? Are the drivers up to date from the respected website?

There's a million and one possibilities here and you've given them nothing to work with. Instead you berate them in childish manner.

Deal with it pls.

If this is the same error you're receiving then you probably have an out of date BIOS, bad drivers, among a number of things.

Some replies relate it to having malware on your computer. If all 4 of your friends have the same virus then that would make sense.

I talked about the team who managed the development. The game cost like Mass Effect 3. And I even can't do shuffle or add bots when play with friends.
The problem is in the game, not in Steam.
If developers made the text for such errors it seems they were aware of them.

Guys, you say, I can't criticize DaysofWonder because they are awesome. I criticize to make them better. If you do something - there would be critics. It's okay.
I have an error in the game. In the Autorizing yellow window when press Play with Buddies.

Who said you can't criticize Days of Wonder because they are awesome? Criticizing is one thing, and comparing to drunk students is an insult in the worst manner of a filthy orc. It would be nice if you brought your apologies!

The problem is that when I click buddies the screen with authorizing appears.
I don't have that problem in other steam or LAN games. In Dota 2 I have 20-30ms ping.
I am pretty sure it's an issue with DoW servers that overload. Or don't work with some regions, including Russia (40M players live here, the biggest European game market).
Don't know why DoW ignore that problem and didn't answer to me. It's a problem. Kazan, Russia. 4 people can't play.

It requires courage and maturity to admit mistakes. I respect it! Definitely not the servers and not the regional problems. I live in Nizhny Novgorod and have no problems at all to play the iPad version. I am sure the problem is in the way the game interacts with your computer. There is a chance that reinstalling the Steam client and the game will help. My wife once had some issues with the Steam version of Ticket to Ride (also a great game by Days of Wonder) and everything started to work fine again after she had reinstalled the client and the game. The strange thing is that your friends are facing the same difficulties though. Have you used the links above to report the problem?

I didn't get any useful info. How comes our 4 computers stuck with SW 2? I don't think the problem is on our side. Why I can play Dota 2, Quakelive and so on?
Maybe it has some problem with dynamic IPs from Domru provider. For example, Blizzard sometimes bans IP if there are too many connections.
I don't have such problems when play from work. Anyway that should be fixed.

That's the reason. One of you must have made a login mistake (mistyping password...), and tried (and failed) again within less than 8 seconds. This triggered the anti-flood protection at the server side: the server is blocking the IP for 16 seconds, in case it would be a robot trying to perform brute password guessing. If the attempts keep coming in before the cool down period, it blocks the IP for 32 secs, then 64 secs etc..., up to 2 hours. We do this to protect the accounts.

Of course, if there are several players behind the same NAT router, it will block everyone. Unlike proxies, The HTTP protocol cannot distinguish clients behind a NAT. This is what happened in your case.

After the cool down period, you will be able to log in again.
