ok... i can..... but i don't make a patch for only one little thing.... Have you other suggestions/bug to report?

You have some days for make your suggestions! Let's go!!!

ps : what are you thinking about the overlord possibilities?

Oh, oh, quick, some suggestions, quick, quick before she disappears again back under the pile of other work Razz

Just off the top-off my head:-

1. Artillery placement in ocean hexes (as per above posts)
2. Allow further rotation of Bridges to allow for 'diagonal' orientation i.e. Hex-spine to hex-spine, as well as the horizontal / vertical hexside to hexside.
3. Extend text fields in comment boxes on scenario briefings. I assume there are limits to the amount of text characters we can enter because I keep reaching the point when I cannot enter anymore words ?
Some of the Overlord scenarios I am designing are Special Rule heavy. I need more text room please.
4. You have the numerical counters '3' and '4'. Any chance you could also include '1' and '2'? These would be useful for my Campaign design whereby units will carry over from previous battles and may not be able to refit/reform back to full strength. They would also allow for some of the unit variant rules that have Infantry units at less than 3 figures.
5. Fortification icon for mines. I am planning to have several beach assaults in my campaign (it is going to be based on Overlord afterall!) and will be using a variation of the many minefield rule ideas. I also believe that these are to be included in the imminent expansion sets soon to be released (if only we knew when!!). So a bit of forward planning now will save you time in the future.

[ Maybe if Eric or another of the DoW staff see this they may be able to give a more definitive list of what other terrain/fortification/unit features will be available so that you could start to plan for it now ?]

That's it for now.

Anyone else got any obvious one's that I've missed ?

Thought of another...

6. Reverse the unit symbol images of either the Axis or Allies (doesn't matter which) so that they are facing left to right for one and the opposite right to left for the other. Anyone printing off the scenario briefings on Black & White (or low res colour) printers can then differentiate which units belong to which side.

2. No.... perhaps in a future version......
3. OK
4. No... or yes.... Or... no You can place a special rule for a specific badge, like the resistant (3 figs), for specifing a special number of figurines.... If think about that for the next update, i promise!
5. ????????????????????? Mines, mine in memoir'44?

Let me clarify:- new obstacle/fortification = minefield icon/counter.

There are already numerous variant rules for these and several scenarios available incorporating their effects (some designers have used the 'elite' markers placed on the board to signify their existance).
I'll be surprised if they are not included in the expansion sets.

I'd rather not have to specify because there are likely to be other units already using the 3 & 4 counters. I do however, have the option to use the Text editor to mark comments against the unit's hex to show how many figures but it would just look soooooo much better with the cool counters.

My bestest smile to win you over... Very Happy

no.

I think there's a possibility with an windows emulator, because the code is very simple and using only windows API (no directx or other thinks).

I make an 2.0 Version, with tile editor for make expansions.

Thanks for the answer. I'll have to wait for 2006 Macs, when Windows'll be bootable on those computers as well as Mac OS X...
Congratulations for your job!
