Will the web version go away now that there is a steam version? Sat, 11 August 2012 09:54
Just played a few games on the steam version.

Ill try to play a few more but I hope the web version will not be going away.

Ill start another thread with a few comments.

Thank you for giving me a chance to play the steam version, but I hope the web version sticks around.

Thank you. Smile

We lately updated the web version with the Asia map, and I think we don't intend to shutdown it soon, as we know many of you prefer to play there.

Will the downloadable version end?

I'm playing through it and like it although I have lost quite a few point by poor Internet connection. Unfortunately, downloadable version does not allow "resume" and one has to enter through daysofwonder web site to resume an interrupted game.

It would be a disaster for me if DOW would stop supporting the downloadable version, because steam either sucks or I don't know how to use it. I haven't seen any instructions though!

As we already stated, we're not supporting anymore our previous downloadable version, as the one in Steam is far superior (for instance it supports greater resolutions).

If you have trouble with Steam itself, feel free to contact Valve's Steam support. If you have trouble with Ticket to Ride on Steam, use our support system:

Maybe superior in your opinion.
I don't want to be mean, but resolution... who really wants to play fullscreen? Let's compare also to internet chess and poker players, nobody plays fullscreen Very Happy
So my vote is also to save the web version. I hope you can make some kind of poll first if you ever decide to ditch web version.
