Fight for Dachang Bug? Thu, 27 September 2012 05:20
Was playing Fight for Dachang and noticed that my opponent was able to enter and exit the road bridges from and exit into the jungle hexes by the road.

When I read the card in game by right-clicking it says If the bridge is on a road hex units can only enter and exit thru adjacent road hexes but in the M44 card compendium online the writing is not on the card.

Is this a bug or a new rule?

I'm not sure about this, but my guess is that the wording for the card online is talking about getting the road bonus because I've never heard any rules about you having to stay on the road even if you don't want to. Rolling Eyes Interesting.

The rule makes total sense to me but online you can enter a bridge on a road from any adjacent hex so this is another bug..

That line about the road was not initially on that card. It was not even on the version I got with my air pack.
Maybe it has been added very recently, so it was not a bug initially ...

As far as I know, there were no Terrain changes in the Equipment Pack. Smile

Could we rename this thread the "Saverne Gap Bug" or something - because it's the same issue in that ORIGINAL AND OFFICIAL map. I never played with "entry points" on a bridge unless they were specified (as in Arnhem).

Saverne gap has no roads (at least not the online version)
Nonono Magnus ... you will have to carry the stamp of a buggy scenario designer.

That "updated" version of the card was printed on several of the battlemaps.

It was the first version I paid attention to and queried why it wasn't on other of the battle maps.

In the end I think it was decided to be a mistake.

They are talking about Railroad Bridges and how it pertains to Sword of Stalingrad..
Can anyone from DoW chime in on this?

Actually, as stated in the post I linked to, the card I'm referring to is printed on the maps for Cadets of Saumur and Hedgerow Hell.

I still see reference to card #37 and how it should not apply to the Sword of Stalingrad scenario but in this case we are talking about card #9 which like you mentioned is in the Cadets of Samur.
