Hello again,
to my great regret, I received no written comments on my last scenario "Taking Oran". I hope you will give me a little more feedback for my new map, "Alpini in the Steppe".
As always, test it, enjoy it and let me know your comments and suggestions!

could you include a link for it here? I like to go look at the scenarios even if I don't have time to play them online just now.

It seems very interesting : close opponents, 7 medals...
Hope to be able to try it soon (I'll be away a few days).

Normally not a big fan of "in your face" scenarios with no time to react - but I'll give it a shot. The Italian command rule might be decisive here. Too bad that's not implemented online yet... Ah well, guess the kids at work will have to be guinea pigs. ...again...

Interesting
Unless they get at least two good cards in the same sector I think the Russians are toast though.
This is one of the very few maps where you want to get close assault

Hi Turbo
Just played Alpini against a human opponent. Me Axis, he allies.
My findings: It's not a very subtle scenarios. The Russians have to fight like hell to get troops over the river and the germans try to hold on to their positions in the cover of trenches and bunkers. You might retreat the germans, but where to? The town is to far away and the Russian tanks than will follow you I think.
So it's, nose to the grindstone, slug it out on the frontline.
I have to agree with van Voort that if the russians don't get some cards to mount an attack in one of the three sections, they are having a hard time. The Germans can keep shooting at them. (Haven't played it as the Russians yet.)
Conclusion: I prefere more tactical scenarios (unless I am missing something here ) but this is a nice diversion from the other scenarios I play. I still enjoyed it.
And I did play Oran against Hermann but forgot to report because I got caught up in some other battle. Will do that today.

Of course I have to agree to this map being a frontal assault without many tactical options, but as I see, it scored a three star rating in no time, so I think many players enjoy a pitched battle of this kind. It also seems to be very balanced, which I always try to achieve.
@Jeronimon: I don't want to be nitpicking, but I have to correct you again, this time it's the Italians.

Nitpick away, I am hopeless when it comes to nationalities in this game.
