 SoC The Card Game - Morgan cards

Having only just bought the game and looked through the rules but not yet played it, can someone please help me with the additional effects on Morgan Cards???
Morgan card 1 says to discard rumour cards face-down (after telling but not showing other players what it is) Which Quest is now to be on top for the next player - the one one the (face-down) Morgan card or the last face-up card? If the former, what if you guess the quest wrong? Or does it prevent anyone going on a quest until a Merlin card is drawn?
Morgan Card 2 says each players continues the count (2, 3, 4 etc) What's the point of this except to make noise?

I'm certain that the boardgamegeek site already had the game designer answer both these questions in their forum sections (separate threads)..

Any links to help this player find an answer? Telling him there's an answer isn't very useful unless you also tell him what the answer is or where to find it!  Not everyone is familiar with BGG.

I generally used Google and go from there. Now it's bookmarked.
