Hi all,
here there are the groups for the first phase. We have 31 players, therefore there are 5 groups (1 of 7 and 4 of 6). Top 2 players from each group go to the Semifinal phase.
The 5 3rd placed players will go to a last chance for semifinal that will be made with a single event made of 4 5players Multis.
3rd place with the best average will start with 4 points, 2nd best with 3 points, 3r best with 2 points, 4th best with 1 point.
Please open one thread for each group.
Please start to play immediately! DO NOT WAIT FOR THE LAST DAYS!
Communicate and organize evenings to play as soon as possible.
I hope the experts of Tickipedia will open a page for each group.
Deadline 14th December for free scheduling, 23rd december for TD scheduling.
Semifinal phase groups will be made in this way:
Group F: best 1st (average), 3rd best 1st, 2nd placed from the other 3 groups, best 3rd place in last chance
Group G: 2nd,4th and 5th best 1st place, 2nd placed from the other 2 groups, 2nd best 3rd place in last chance.
I hope that Dom can build up the pages for the 1st phase group on Ticki. Thanks in advance!

Ironhorse and Maf:
you need to have the Ok from all the players of one group to join them.
That is your only chance to play in MPWC unfortunately

Have to modify previous suggestion to make it a ruling!
Deadline is a deadline!
Therefore:
Ironhorse, Maf and JenAck cannot join an existing group.
BUT
If they find 3 more players in the next 7 days, then they are welcome in MultiWC as Group F!
Group F will give two more players in semifinal, but he will not run for the two places obtained as best 3rds.

Hi Q,
well sorry but i think rules at times should be abridged.
In Group A you have 7 players in the other 3 groups you have 6. This creates an inbalance to the tourne. I think another player joining each existing group is more reasonable than adding another group with a different set of rules.
This is becoming if i can spell it beuarocratic not fun.
I have already made my case that I would like to defend my title but if thats your rules then I will probably not join another tourne as its no fun any more and thats what this is supposed to be about.
Q you asked me to get approval of a group. I have done this with group C 4 out of 6 responses so far. Now you change the rule or offer again.
I know its hard as tourne director sometimes and appreciate what you do but i do not agree with this inflexibility. There appears far more members that are willing to accept additions to the 1 or 2 that don,t.
Thats it for me I have made my case but I do not have the real say in this.

not sure if this means anything, but GFF or even myself could move to Group F. Make it more even, and give our group of 7 a better chance to make it out of round robin with group of 6 over 7.

Phil,
trouble is that you were not alone and it became impossible to fit everyone in that way.
Believe me: you are going to play in the Group F. I passed all evening searching players from you and I am confident that you will have that group of 6.
We are already at 4 now with only 2 missing. Please do not change your views, I am trying this to make the tournament even better

group F will have best 2 in semifinal (2 out of 6)
Group A currently has 2 out of 7 in semifinal and the 3rd placed player that will have a chance for seminfinal in a minigroup of 5 (last chance)
so group A has 2.4 out of 7 chances (that are more than 2 out of 6)
If you wish to play in group F the same tell me, but consider what I just told here.
Group F is reality!
The last player will be me if I don't find another player in the next 48 hours.

If a player does move from Group A, you could have it so they can qualify as 3rd best but no one else in the group can.

Should that one more register here, and it be first come first serve, or is it TTR lennart or even Qorlas, which many of us would like to see?

you can change from A to F but you can stay in A ;
depending of the numbers of players answering quickly.
So yes, we can start a new group with 1 to 3 new players (I think I'm right, Qorlas ?)

Ok!
So I rule the creation of Group F!
onyx puffin, Ironhorse, Maf, JenAck, Loca, TTR - Lennart
and this one is a group that is going to play on Euro evenings
I change also a little of the format:
1) Top 2 of each groups go to semifinal
Semifinals will have two groups of 7 players
2) the 6 3rd placed players are going to play a last chance made of 6 5p games in a single event.
3) In the last chance there will be bonuses accorded by the TD with players starting with 5-4-3-2-1-0 points
4) Top 2 in the last chance goes to semifinals
5) Semifinal phase groups will be made in this way:
Group F: best 1st (average), 3rd best 1st, 6th best 1st, 2nd placed from the other 3 groups, best 3rd place in last chance
Group G: 2nd,4th and 5th best 1st place, 2nd placed from the other 3 groups, 2nd best 3rd place in last chance.
*** Deadline for group F is the same of the other groups!
So please, start to play immediately!
Deadlines group F: 14th December 1st one and 23rd December final final deadline.

Hi all,
Menno will remain in Group A!
Jen is willing to offer her place to another player. She signed in to help form group F in first place.
So the question is:
can aleopold play 20h-24h CET ? If yes, Black-Is-Black is too late.
If no, Black-Is-Back can play.
I wait for an answer from Aleopold as soon as possible.
Aleopold is on USA time zone so we need that answer!
