|
P.9 Air rules
| Quote: | A model Airplane that is on the ground (before take-off, or after landing on an Airfield hex) can be targeted like any other unit. It is eliminated if 1 Grenade is rolled against it.
If Ready to Take-off markers are present, they are also all lost at once when a Grenade is rolled, but the attacker will still collect a single Victory medal only.
Ready to Take-off markers may be targeted directly. They are all lost when a Grenade is rolled, and the attacker only collects a single Victory medal, no matter the number of Ready to Take-off markers that were stacked on this hex.
|
The only difference I note is that when more than one take-off marker is destroyed, you only get credit for one unit not multiple units.
The FAQ will also remind you that a FLAG will also destroy an aircraft or take-off marker when attacked since they can't retreat. And if attacked by another aircraft while on the ground, a FLAG, STAR or GRENADE will do the job. So better to have your planes in the air.

Is this in the Air Pack ? I'm struggling to find it ... It only indicates that aircraft on the ground are destroyed by a Grenade roll .... cheers

This is in the FAQ that is why I stated "The FAQ will also remind you..."

Yes I get that its in the FAQ.
I was just trying to establish where else it was stated that aircraft cant retreat on flags.
Obviously it makes sense, as a ruling, but I hadn't been able to find it anywhere written down, so I guess the FAQ was therefore required if there is no mention of it anywhere.
I was just checking if this was the case.
Presumably it was just a glaring omission at the time ?

Sorry to be such a tease.
Yes, you are right the reason it is in the FAQ is because it was not anywhere else specifically detailed.
