Well...
You had an annoucement for the overall championship 10 days ago HERE.
Last year, we made the calendar clearer, to make sure each tourney had its place defined in advance.
This year, we were looking for consistency. So Fun and MPWC are now considered as the first tourneys of the year. After all, a soccer team championship starts in 2012 and finishes in 2013 to crown the 2013 champion...
So, FUN tournament and MPWC are in their 2013 edition, since their winner is crowned in 2013.
We also wanted a condensed championship season during the first half of the year.
Yes, those who signed up for the multi tourney this year have an advantadge, but nobody has known of that advantadge when signing up... (not even me, and the idea was drafted before we played the semis...).
And, well, those participants did not need an incentive to be part of that tourney and to make MPWC a living and competitive tournament. So they were kind of rewarded that way for this year.
But now, all the players know it and can sign up for other tourneys.
About finishing the Overall championship with blocks in multi tourneys : I'd then to disagree.
1) A final head-to-head on AAC fits better with the idea of the most complete player.
2) Colluding the interest of blocking to win one game in the multi-tourney + the blocking to win the MPWC itself/to get qualified in the next round + the blocking to win overall championship could create some unnecessary drama. (If some players not involved in any of those appear to decide the fate of one of them, that could be ugly).
Overall championship is meant to reward consistency !
Since GURU Will won't have any problem to win SPWC, EMC, SMC, AMC and AAC, there's nothing to be worried about !

Makes it a hell of a lot more difficult as I won't be going anywhere near EMC 
I'll just have to win everything else - hope I get drawn against TuS players in every round!

Yes,
but when we thought about overall reform, we preferred to have it from December to July.
Alternative would have been from March to February with large gaps inside.
It wasn't announced at the start of the multi because the idea came up later.
If you prefer, we can just skip it for this year (yes this is a joke).
