Designed a scenario Tue, 04 February 2014 16:30
Gentlemen,

I designed a scenario using the scenario editor and I've been trying to playtest it using the AI. So far it's proved fruitful, but with some problems.

I've set the game to finish at six medals, but this doesn't seem to have any effect on the game. No matter how many units or objectives taken - the game won't end. Any ideas?

Secondly, I've equiped a unit with mortars and they never seem to use them, are the implemented in M44 online?

- Mortars are not yet supported on M44 online. As are several other bits of Memoir. There should be a link to a wiki somewhere on this forum that lists all the known bugs and non yet implemented items.

- when you add a sudden death objective (like on saverne gap) to your scenario, the scenario will ONLY end when you obtain the sudden death objective. If you proceed to take out the sudden death objective again, the file remains corrupted somehow and games on the scenario NEVER end. There is no known way to remove the corrupting bit from the scenario. The only solution there seems to be is to re-create the scenario from scratch, without touching the sudden death option in the new scenario.

Perfect - I was messing about with sudden death earlier. That's what it must be.

Thank you very much. I'll take out the mortars then.

I had the same problem on my first one, too, with the sudden death objective. I'd encourage you to test with the AI, but also with a good number real players. Invite them in when you're online. The scenario will play very differently with real players. Plus, they can give some great input and ideas on problems and how to make it even better! If I'm ever on I'd be totally happy to test and input.

Let me know when it goes "public". I'd be happy to try it out!
