Placing walls directly adjacent to door frames? Fri, 23 June 2006 17:38
I've seen pictures on BGG that show Wall sections directly adjacent to the Door Frames (i.e. on the side of the box that faces the Plaza). However, the pictures in the rulebook only show Walls on the other three sides of the box. In addition, the Door Frame scoring example shows scoring Walls placed on the side of the box, when there is no Wall directly adjacent to the Door Frame.

Can Walls be placed directly adjacent to the Door Frames?

No. There're exactly nine locations for the Columns (three for each side except the one with the Doors).

As mentionned in the rules, the counting of walls adjacent to door frames start at the corner of the box closest to that door frame, so Luke is correct. There are no "walls" that can be built in between that corner and the door frame itself.
If you look at how pieces are packed, there was no way to build a longer door frame going all the way to the box corner and still fit them in Rolling Eyes
