Vidéo intéressante Mon, 28 July 2014 00:33
Bonjour,

Cordialement.

For all those who have joined and for those thinking of joining. I have put up a guide to accepting a challenge in the forums. A match cant be reported until a challenge has been made and accepted.

You will find the guide here..

ATTENTION ALL COMMANDERS:

Well, the units have been placed and the round may begin. Of course, as I said before, I wrote this one before we decided on reserve units. Both Jeroen's and John's placement were masterful for this scenario. John, no complaints as I gave Jeroen his sandbag. It should be a lot of fun.

Good luck to all.

Thanks for your reply!

Just counted the cards in my 10th Anniversary set, comparing them to the description of the cards in the instructions you linked to for the USA 1910 Expansion Set. I found that my collection includes the 30 "standard" destination cards, 35 "1910" destination cards, and 4 "Mystery Train" destination cards.

Do I have all of the "Mystery Train" cards, or only half of them as the original poster suggested? Your reply that "[only] the destination cards for Mystery Train were included" made me think that my 10th Anniversary Set might be missing some of the cards that it should have...

Where might the official instructions for "Mystery Train" be found?

Will you please reply to this thread when the revised "separate printed piece" you described is available to owners of the first print run of the 10th Anniversary set is available?

We are a family that had never played the game before, so dove in to the 10th Anniversary Set to get the all-inclusive best version of the game. We are loving it, and would like to try the variants as well!

Thank you!

There is no need for Mystery Train rules. The Anniversary Edition does not use them in any fashion. It simply includes the destination cards from Mystery Train as a bonus.

You have all the proper cards. Any comments of missing Mystery Train cards is in regard to the non-destination cards originally included with Mystery Train. If I recall correctly, there were nine cards total in Mystery Train. We only get four of them.

You can never return 3 cards as you said in your example - only 2.
It does not say in the US version of the game that you can't return destination cards that you previously picked (it does say that in other versions) so we play you can as long as you are only returning 2.
There might be a time when someone is going out soon & you need to dump a long destination, we will redraw to get a smaller destination for lesser points that you have to eat.

The rulebook also doesn't say that you can't reach over and take your opponent's cards, move their trains around, or poke yourself in the eye.

Board game rulebooks are inclusive, not exclusive. It is impossible for a rulebook to state everything that is not permitted. Hence, rulebooks only say what is permitted (sometimes with clarifications as you point out).

Supply trucks/Long range Patrol cars cannot move onto hedgehogs or up cliffs and bluffs.

This is not clear by reading just the summary cards, or in the FAQ, but it is in the EP rule book.
Most players use the summary cards and Faq to play, and don't go trough all the rule books to look up a rule, so an addition in the faq would be nice.

Thanks for the idea, but the FAQ is already so big that I won't be adding anything that's clearly outlined in the rules.

If you mean Advanced Historian than the answer is win 15 of the 16 original scenarios on the correct date.

The original 16 are (with start and end date ):
Pegasus Bridge 6 jun. 1944 6 jun. 1944
Sainte MèreÉglise 6 jun. 1944 6 jun. 1944
Sword Beach 6 jun. 1944 6 jun. 1944
PointeduHoc 6 jun. 1944 6 jun. 1944
(Omaha Beach:) First Assault Wave 6 jun. 1944 6 jun. 1944
Mont Mouchet 10 jun. 1944 10 jun. 1944
Vassieux (Vercors) 21 jul. 1944 21 jul. 1944
Operation Cobra 25 jul. 1944 26 jul. 1944
Oprtn Lüttich Counterattack on Mortain 7 aug. 1944 11 aug. 1944
Toulon 20 aug. 1944 26 aug. 1944
Liberation of Paris 24 aug. 1944 24 aug. 1944
Montélimar 25 aug. 1944 25 aug. 1944
Arnhem Bridge 17 sep. 1944 19 sep. 1944
Arracourt 19 sep. 1944 19 sep. 1944
Saverne Gap, Vosges 19 nov. 1944 23 nov. 1944
StVith (Ardennes) 20 dec. 1944 22 dec. 1944

Tha fact that you qualify on 15 instead of 16 is a bug we believe. Smile

Is it required you win all? From both sides? Or do you just need to play 15 of the 16 on the historical dates?

I believe you just have to play them on the right date, but someone who has earned the award might be able to speak more about it.

Having said that, I wouldn't be surprised if most people have made sure to win the scenarios from both sides, just to be sure!! Very Happy
