This was a close-fought battle near Arracourt. Most of the engagements involved armor units, occurring on the Germans center & right flanks with a few minor skirmishes on the left flank. A Bf109 inflicted heavy damage to two US tank units before being shot down by the enemy. In the end, it was the German tankers retreating off of the ridge line and a lucky shot by a US tank that cost the Germans the victory.
