Organized Play program

What is it?

The Memoir '44 Organized Play program consists of a series of game demonstrations and tournaments held in public venues such as game stores and game clubs. Players that do not know the game have a chance to discover it, while veterans compete in those events.

These demonstrations and tournaments will focus on the Overlord format, at least initially, because this format can accommodate a large number of players while remaining simple to play. It encourages team building: up to 8 players can play together and compete on the same battlefield! We designed our Battle Map series specifically with this Organized Play program in mind.

How can I participate?

This page gives you access to all the information that you will need as a player, organizer or retail store.

If you want to play and compete...

Look for partners or playing buddies in your area and form a small team of 4 players that can challenge other teams in Overlord battles. As soon as team is complete, look for information on upcoming Overlord battles in your area. And once you will have had a chance to play and come back from the front, file your After Action Reports, to share your experience and glorious exploits with fellow players.

If you are willing to organize an event...

Pick a date and find a venue (your local retail store or a club, for example, although any public venue will do) to organize your event. Once you have these figured out, you can also go ahead and order the Memoir '44 Organized Play kit at a low price, in exchange for your commitment to running this event. The kit contains 2 Battle Maps (one of them is for you) and 1 Operation Overlord Expansion.

If you are a shop...

You can organize or host an event in your store. If you already know players that would be interested in organizing an event, give them a link to this page so that they can organize an event in your store. If not, you can call for volunteers in our forum.

As you can see, this page is an important first step in helping Memoir '44 fans get the word out and making new people discover the game. With your help, we can make it a success. With your feedback, we can continuously refine this program until Tournaments and Demonstrations are everywhere to be found, quarter after quarter.

So do not wait any longer... build your team, volunteer, and report to the front!
