Historical Background: On the night of 27-28 February 1942, British paratroopers of Company C / 2nd Parachute Battalion were airdropped into German-occupied France near the Channel port of Bruneval. The 120 elite soldiers under the command of Major John Frost stormed a German "Würzburg" radar installation and captured vital information on enemy early-warning technology before retreating to the beach where they were picked up by Royal Navy landing craft.
Briefing: Axis Player (Germany): - Take 5 Command cards.
Allied Player (Great Britain): - Take 6 Command cards. - You move first.
Conditions of Victory: 5 Medals.
The German radar site is a Permanent Medal Objective and the bunker at the beach is a Temporary Medal Objective, both for the Allied player.
Exit rules are in effect for the marked hex on the Allied baseline, for the Allied player.
Special Rules: British Commonwealth Forces Command rules (Nations 5 - British Commonwealth Forces) are in effect, for the British forces.
All British units are elite units (Troops 2 - Specialized Units).
Night attack rules (Actions 19 - Night Attacks) are in effect.
All hills are impassable. Remember that Allied units retreat to the beach and Axis units retreat inland.
