Historical Background:
To get to the main defenses of the Gothic Line and then to Rome the Allies had to cross the Garigliano River. One of the places they crossed was at the towns of Minturno and Tufo. As this is not a famous battle details are hard to come by but what we do know is this:

The 2nd Innisks and Wilkshire battalions were assigned to reach Minturno by the town of Tufo. They were faced by the 51st German Infantry Division. The 17th British Infantry Brigade conducted an amphibious landing on the beach and cut the highway. Fierce fighting took place by and in the orchard. German mortars had been set up there. However the Germans in the towsn did not have much heart for the battle and as a result the positions were soon overrun and the British were on the way to the Gothic Line and more bloodshed

The stage is set, the battle lines are drawn and you are in command, the rest is history.
