[Russia] The Seizure of Zhlobin - July 06, 1941

Historical Background:
40 tanks from the German 3rd Panzer Division were ordered to attack the town of Zhlobin. They expected strong resistance but wee not expecting 30 Soviet tanks. The tanks were carefully concealed in the streets and town. The German attack was split into two pincers, 1st Company would attack the town from the north, 2nd Company from the west.
The 1st Coy made good progress, eliminating the infantry and bypassing the artillery but when they reached the town they were ambushed by the concealed tanks. The artillery then turned on them and they lost 22 tanks. They desperately requested the aid of the 2nd Coy but their fire was blocked by the steep railway embankment. The 2nd Coy was soon able to arrive at the town and penetrated it from the south, eliminating 25 Soviet tanks without a single loss, turning the tide of the battle.
