Historical Background:
The Battle of Kohima was the turning point of the Japanese U Go offensive into India in 1944 in the Second World War.
The battle was fought from 4 April to 22 June 1944 around the town of Kohima in northeast India.
It is often referred to as the "Stalingrad of the East".

Briefing:
Allies: 5 cards, you start first
Axis: 5 cards.

Conditions of Victory:
6 Medals.
The two hexes town of Kohima are a temporary medal objective for Axis worth 1 medal each.
The villages of Merema and Aradura are a temporary medal objective for Allies worth 1 medal each.

Special Rules:
Hill 317 rules are in effect for the Allies.
As long as an Allied unit occupies one of the hills marked with an 'H' it can use a recon 1 card as air power in the designated section (Eastern Air Command support to the troops).
The 3-fig Japanese troops represents the 58th and 124th Rgt
