Historical Background:
The St. Nazaire Raid or Operation Chariot was a successful British amphibious attack on the heavily defended Normandie dry dock in France. The operation was undertaken by the Royal Navy and British Commandos on March 28, 1942. St. Nazaire was targeted because the loss of its dry dock would force any large German warship, such as the Tirpitz, to return to home waters rather than having safe haven available on the Atlantic coast. After the war ST. Nazaire was one of 38 battle honors awarded the Commandos; the operation has since become known as 'The Greatest Raid of All' within military circles.

7 medals.
The Normandie Dock( the 2 town hexes marked with an 'A') is a temporary medal objective for both sides worth 1 medal. If any unit from either side occupies any of the 2 hexes it earns the medal irregardless if one of the other hexes is occupied by the enemy. Therefore, both sides can earn a medal at the same time.
The U-Boat dock(Pier hex) is a temporary medal objective worth 1 medal for the Allies.
The Water Pump Station is a temporary medal objective worth 1 medal for the Allies.

The Axis start with 1 medal.

Special Rules:
Air Power as Artillery Bombard deck is used.
Night rules are in effect.Actions-19)
Gung Ho rules are in effect.(Nations-4)
BCF rules are in effect.(Nations-5)
The river is not fordable.
The Headquarter and Supply hex is owned by the Allies. Allies lose one card if occupied by a German unit. It depicts logistic problems for the commandos.(Actions-17)
The pier hex can be entered from the road, town, bridge or clear hex.
The 2 German armor units with a Rosette badge depict half-tracks. They are 2 figures and move 2 hexes. They still fire 3-3-3.
The regular German armor moves 3 hexes.
Place special forces badges on the British units.(Troops-2)
Place engineer badges on the British units.(Troops-4)
