The Battle of Hotton Bridge was a crucial battle to hold the Bridges and Prevent Germany from breaking through the allied defenses.
The Allies had most bridges ready to detonate in case the Germans would try to cross the River Ourthe.
Colonel Fraser was formally charged with the defense of the area, his company B defended Hotton.
The spark plug of the defense of Hotton was captain Preston C Hodges.
After a fierce 2 day battle the Allies prevented that the Germans took Hotton and also prevented they had to blow the bridge.
