Historical Background:
Opening attack of Operation Fall Weiss, the invasion of Poland. On the morning of Sept 1st 1939 German forces crossed into Poland. German 8th and 10th Armies of Army Group South head eastward to the towns of Lodz and Kutno before heading on to Warsaw.

Briefing:
German player gets 4 command cards and moves first

Polish Player gets 4 command cards

Conditions of Victory:
Germans need 6 medals of which 1 medal must be to hold either the city of Lodz or Kutno. If a German unit moves off or is eliminated, control reverts to the Polish player.

Polish need 6 medals
Polish start with one medal for holding BOTH Lodz and Kutno but lose it if either city is in German hands, they must hold both to slow the German advance.

Special Rules:
Polish Special Infantry is the Polish Cavalry. Cavalry rules can be found on page 6 of the Eastern Front Expansion.

Blitz rules are in effect.

Airpower card is reduced to one die for the Polish side.
