Historical Background: This battle is designed as a simple game for young players. It should be relatively even but experienced players will have an advantage. To simplify this battle further, it can be played without any of the Tactic Cards in the Command deck.
The goal with this scenario if for players to learn basic movement, terrain restrictions, and tactics with Infantry units. After mastering these skills, you can move on to Young Generals II, which introduces Armor and the Armor Overrun rule.
Briefing: Allies: Take 5 Command Cards.
Axis: Take 5 Command Cards. You move first.
Conditions of Victory: 4 Medals.
The bridge is a Temporary Objective Medal for the Allies.
The Town is a Temprorary Objective Medal for the Axis.
NOTE: If players want a longer game and both sides agree, you can play to 5 or even 6 medals.
Special Rules: Introduce the Taking Ground rule.
