Historical Background:
On the morning of May 20th, 1941, the German Airborne Divisions landed at the towns of Rethymno, Heraklion, Suda, Canea, and Maleme, coastal towns in the Island of Crete. The British/Creforce were surprised and a long battle followed. But finally, 2 days later, British/Creforce ordered a retreat and left the Island of Crete to its German Invaders. The stage is set, the battle lines drawn, and you are in command, the rest is history.
