Historical Background:
In the small town of Sandomierz near the Vistula River, 170 kilometres south of Warsaw, the Soviet Army first met the Königstiger in battle. The Soviet 6th Guards Tank Corps anticipated a German counterattack against their newly won bridgehead over the Vistula River.

Though the Soviets initially thought they were first facing Panthers, they set up an ambush to deal with the expected German attack. Their concentrated fire destroyed the first two Königstiger tanks they saw on the road from Sandomierz. A third Königstiger tank was left in tact and abandoned in the village and the German counterattack was stopped cold.

(This scenario has a slight fictional part; here, the Soviet bridgehead was previously erased, but German forces were unable to secure the area. Now both sides have launched powerful battlegroups to fill in the gap. Both the Luftwaffe and the VVS have sent support to assist their troops).

Conditions of Victory:
6 medals

All 3 bridges are Temporary Objective Medals for the Axis Player. Only 1 medal can be won by capturing a bridge. 1 bridge must be captured to claim victory (for the Axis).

Special Rules:
Road Movement Bonus applies on bridges too.

All tanks have only 1 figure.

Marshes are considered impassable terrain for tanks.

When a Heavy Tank fires at a Light Tank, don't re-roll. Hits are applied as normal then.

Hedgerows are impassable terrain.

Koenigstiger: Fires at 4-3-3-2 move 1 battle, move 2 no battle. Re-roll hit on grenade. (Heavy Tank)

Observer Rules:

For each side, 1 unit with 3 figures is marked with a battle star. These units represent recon units. Self-Propelled Artillery units may fire only at targets in their own LOS, or in the Observers' LOS. Observers fire at 3-2-1, move 1 battle, move 2-3 no battle.

Get a pencil and a piece of paper, write all the rules from here, and use the paper during battle. This way you don't have to learn all the rules.
