Historical Background:
October 9th The Russians removed Political officers for the command structure. October 10 The Germans where pushing deeper into Stalingrad street by street, building by building. The new Russian command structure was felt. German Assault tanks where sent in to help defeat the Russian Guards units that where stubbornly holding on. Russian tanks and anti-tank guns where moved in to counter the threat. With the loss of of few buildings the Russians did their best to hold on.

Special Rules:
Russian and German single fig infantry units are snipers units. See sniper rules for their use.

Russian special infantry are the Russian SMG Guards units, they move 0-1 and battle 3,3 or move 2 and battle 2,2 ( road movement bonus = a move 2 )

Russian Artillery unit is a direct fire Heavy Anti-Tank gun. see troop card 23

German special armor units are 3 fig Assault Tanks, they move 0-3 and Battle 3,3,2 When they do not move, they ignore all battle terrain reductions, Battling out of a town is still a -2 Any town hex hit with 2 or more grenades in a single attack reduces that town hex into a city ruins/rubble hex. Non Infantry units still alive in the rubble hex are trapped and may not move out, but may still battle.

use winter city hexes if you do not have enough normal cities
