Historical Background:
The Battle of the Bulge, also known as the Ardennes Offensive, began on December 16th 1944. It was a major German offensive launched toward the end of World War II through the densely forested Ardennes Mountains region of Wallonia in Belgium. The Wehrmacht's code name for the offensive was Unternehmen Wacht am Rhein ("Operation Watch on the Rhine"), after the German patriotic hymn Die Wacht am Rhein. This German offensive was officially named the Ardennes-Alsace campaign by the U.S. Army, but it is known to the English-speaking public as the Battle of the Bulge.

The stage is set, the battle lines are drawn, and you are in command. The rest is history.

Conditions of Victory:
7 Medals
An Axis Unit that captures a town hex of Bastogne or St Vith counts as one victory medal. Place an objective medal on these town hexes. As long as the unit remains on the town hex, it continues to count toward victory. If the unit moves off or is eliminated, it no longer counts.

Special Rules:
The Allies are equipped with 1 Anti-Tank infantry unit. These are explained on (p.8. MF)

The Axis Special Forces tank units have 4 figures. The Axis Special Forces infantry are Commando units. Snipers are described on (p.5 EF) Place the appropriate badge in the same hex with these units to distinguish them from other units.

The river is a Frozen River (p.3 EF)
