Historical Background:
At 6:30 on a cold, foggy Wednesday morning, from the swirl of smoke and mist came whistles and shouts and the thrum of Panzer engines. Gray-green waves of shouting and singing German infantrymen spilled down the road and across the fallow fields. The counterattack on the 25th day of the Anzio beachhead had begun. The Fuhrer, ever more entangled in tactical minutae half a continent away, had ordered a "concentrated, overwhelming, ruthless" assault on a narrow front. Excision of the beachhead "abscess" is imperative. Will you be able to fulfill the Fuhrer's orders or will a firing squad await you back in Berlin? You are in command!

Briefing:
Allied Player(United Kingdom/United States) : 5 command cards
Axis(Germany) : 5 command cards, you move first.

Conditions of Victory:
9 medals.
For the Axis Player, permanent medal objective for Aprilia worth 1 medal, and permanent medal objectives for Anzio and Nettuno, each worth 2 medals.
For the Allies, temporary medal objectives for Compoleone and Cisterna. Each are worth 1 medal.
Eliminating the German Special Force armor units are worth 2 victory medals each for the Allies.

Special Rules:
Use Air Power as Artillery Bombard deck due to foggy conditions.
Gung Ho rules are in effect due to interior lines of communication for the Allies.
ALL regular Axis armor move only 2 hexes.
German Special Force armor units can move 3 hexes.
U.S. Special Force armor units move 3 hexes.
British armor moves 2 hexes
Axis Special force units as marked. May move 2 and battle.
Axis Engineers as marked. Ignore terrain dice reductions in close assault.
Allied Special forces as marked. May move 2 and battle.
Mobile Artillery as marked. May move 1 and still battle.
Mussolini Canal is fordable only on the hexes marked with an 'f'.
Hospital hexes are owned by the Allies (due to off loading of reinforcements).
The rice paddies depict marshes of the uncompleted canal. They act the same as marshes.
