After a long static period in the Bocage, the 29th US Infantry Division was ready to advance to St-Lô. But the night of the 10th/morning of the 11th of July a strengthened company of German paratroopers attacked.... Splitting into small groups and fighting in close combat, the German assault was contained. In the morning the battle was over but the losses were heavy.
This is a copy of the official unclassified scenario by jdrommel, called [Normandy] Bretel Wood, posted here to play in Memoir'44 Online.

Axis player [Germany]
Take 5 Command cards.
You move first.
Allied player [United States]
Take 5 Command cards
Conditions of Victory:
***NEW*** ALLIED forces lay the Minefields (from Terrain Pack: 0,0,0,1,1,2,2,3,3,4). There was a typo in the original that said Axis laid minefields.
Night Attack / Visibility rules are in effect (daylight level = max range of units; REMEMBER: Air Power & Barrage don't work before 6).
Two Axis infantry units have Combat Engineer badges (they ignore terrain battle reductions in close assault),
The others are elite troops (may move 2 and still attack).
Editor 1.2 should allow Night Attack and Axis Minefields to work properly.
Please note that this scenario was not approved by Richard Borg or Days of Wonder, so you have to check yourself about playability, potential gaming issues, etc.
