Suspect Cards on Board

In the rules it says after making an accusation if no one has that suspect card in their hand then you look at the culprit card. What if some suspect cards have been placed on the board? Does someone look at these before checking the culprit? After the fact I thought that it would make sense to have the previous owner of the card look at it to verify that it wasn't the card that was accused. Any official rule on this?

If there are cards on the board, they should be checked as well.

Don't the rules say you can't make an accusation until all the suspect cards on the board are gone?

Yes, that's what the rules say. So you have to wait with accusations until all cards are gone from the board.

No. The rules specify that accusations can't be made while there are still cards in the Parlour. Additional cards such as those from "Another corpse" don't count. These additional face-down cards have come out of a player's hand, so that player (or any who have visited the space and peeked the card) can reveal it's identity in the event that a player accuses that particular monk.

Since the original question was asked back in 2008, I don't think the original posters are going to be checking back in on this thread...but at least your answer will help new people who have the same questions.
