I seem to be unable to file in bug errors any more, how do you zip the run files?

Are you on a Mac or a PC? I know how to do it on a Mac, but I'm not sure if it's the same on a PC...

Once you find the run file, I right-click on the correct file (or 'control-click') and there is an option to Compress the file. When I click on that option, it makes it into a zip. I drag the new zip file onto my desktop and send it off with the report.

Can anyone else tell him how to zip files on a PC? Razz

I wouldn't be surprised if you make a zip file the same way on a PC...have you tried to right-click on the file when you have it pulled up? You're looking for a 'compress' or 'zip' option in the drop-down list.

Maybe you should try WinRaR. It's free and it's (IMHO) better than WinZip.
And it supports Zip-files.

You might need to explain what that is and how it works, for those people who aren't as computer savvy and might not be used to downloading other programs...just an idea to make things as easy as possible for everyone! Razz

WinZip and WinRar are progams to compress data.
They reduce the size of files.

My Windows 7 laptop came with 7-zip installed.

To compress a file, in a explorer window I right click on the file to get a context sensitive menu.
In this menu I select 7-zip and a submenu appears.
In the submenu I select add to archive and a 7-zip dialog box appears to compress the file into an archive which I can name.

To add multiple files select them then right click.

To add a file from a different location I first create the archive. Then I select the other file as above right clicking to select 7-zip & add to archive. In the add to archive button I can select the existing archive and add the file to it.

Other file compression programmes should work in a similar fashion once you have them installed.

Hope this helps.

I recently graduated from university and started working in the field of creating video games, but since I am a beginner programmer, I need a resource where I can take files for free and use in my games. This https://samplelib.com/sample-mp3.htmlsite was recommended to me by a friend and it is called Samplelib on the site there are many map, video and audio files that I can use for free. Recommended to all
