You describe the problems of how to record the score online correctly and I am aware of that.
But we have the same problem when scoring for the campaign.
Can the Germans ONLY get 5 medals in this scenario?

Ah, I am sorry - I missed that part. For the Campaign I would count the units killed and the medals captured by the Germans. It seems logical to do it this way for scoring purposes.

This seems to be standard in scenarios with victory conditions like this.
So , if the Germans win (by capturing the needed 5 OMs), I would just score it 12 German to whatever the Allies scored. in this case, players would then be aware that the Germans got the 5.
If players report a German win with a 5-4 score when the allies actually killed more than 4 units, then the avg allied score in thsi scenario is thrown off and without an aar, players are given a flase impression on how well one side or the other does.
If the Germans lose, record the Allied kills against the number of objectives the Germans captured.

Hello, and sorry for bumping this again.
I only see a problem with this scenario and the scoring for the campaign.
If Germans do count the medals gained in the game, plus the units killed, they get a double benefit since in the Objective Track for the Axis they get additional points.
For instance, let's suppose that the Axis player was able to get 4 objectives out of 7 and he killed 7 units.
His final score would be 11 points, but he will get 2 additional points as per the Objective Track.
The situation gets worse if the German managed to capture the 5 permanent objectives. He will score 12 points for the scenario, plus 3 additional points as per the Objective Track.
This scoring system may drastically unbalance the whole campaign, since the Axis can gain for a single scenario up to 15 points.
What are your thoughts?

I'm sure we've had this discussion before about this or another similar scenario.
I would score 12 for the Germans if they win.
