What am I playing, and what am I not

Did a look at what scenarios I am playing the most, and which I am not.
Here are my Top 10
Juno Beach 40
First Assault Wave 36
Saverne Gap 29
Operation Cobra 27
Arnhem Bridge 24
Sainte-Mère-Eglise 23
Pegasus Bridge 23
1st Armoured to the rescue 22
Escape via the Coastal Road 20
The Meat Grinder 20
Hmm, a lot of that is testament to promotion requirements
Juno and Pegasus are D -Day matches and the free ones, so these were where I used to play cadets a lot whilst trying to get to the magic 25. SME will be up there for similar reasons.
Omaha and Arnhem will be there not just because they are 80:20 scenarions you need to win both ways to get promoted, but also where I have played people trying for Cpt.
1st Armoured and Escape are up there now thanks to me trying to win them both sides on the anniversy.
This leaves the 3 there on merit:
Saverne
Cobra
Meat Grinder
Which are all fine, though I have hardly played the last two since making Col.

RBF comes in the middle at 16, so I am definitely not part of that clique...

I have my records in a spreadsheet analysed by theatre and scenario which makes answering this post easier.
Montelimar is my go to scenario, my most played scenario of the standard 49 (13.7% played 70% wins).
It is balanced, both sides have all units, a good mix of terrain, objective medals. It is a good scenario to play against novice and experienced players.
2nd on my list is a surprise to me - Twin Villages (5.2% played 62.6% wins).
My playing numbers/percentages are skewed as there were not many scenarios to play in the "early days."
Least played is Rzhev (0.39% played 81.8% wins).
My 10 most played scenarios (1st to last) are
Montélimar
Twin Villages
Operation Cobra
Ponyri
Into the Cauldron
Escape via the Coastal Road
Saverne Gap
Suomussalmi
St Vith
Sword Beach
The 1st Pacific scenario is #14 Sugar Loaf and Half Moon
(played 2.09% won 62.7%)
I could give similar statistics since my last promotion - but I won't bore you any further.

Here is my top 10 of maps played (total for both sides) :
- RBF : 130
- Gates of Moscow : 56
- Saverne's gap : 46
- Juno beach : 29
- Pegasus bridge : 28
- Sidi Rezegh's airfield : 26 *
- Meat grinder : 25
- 1st wave (Omaha) : 24
- Ponyri / Lysianka / Tunisia / Sword beach / Wake's island : 20 each
- Japanese counterattack / Cobra / Halfaya's pass : 19 each
=> regarding "Sidi Rezegh", I failed so many times to win that map on my way through Colonel that I played it very often.
I do not like that map. Played it once again yesterday to be sure. I am sure.
Favourite maps : mostly eastern front (RBF, Moscow, Lysianka) with meatgrinder for Pacific, Omaha and Saverne for western, and Halfaya & Tunisia for med'.
Less played maps :
- Carentan : 0
- Utah beach, Goodwood & Panzer vs Grants : 4 each
- Knightsbridge : 5
- Liberation of Paris & Gallabat-Metemma : 6 each
- Spring : 7
- Arnhem bridge, Matanikau river, counterattack on Mortain : 8
- 1st armour to the rescue, Guam's landings, Austen's mounts (?), Vassieux : 9
All other are 10+.
Least favourite maps : Utah, Gallabat, Arnhem.
I am not at ease with japanese front, so at the exception of Meatgrinder, haven't played them a lot.
Panzer vs Grants (2 games each side) is my only 100% victories, and I did not get back to it.
My best ratios on maps (at least 6 games each side, i.e. at least 12 games overall) :
- Operation Cobra : 19 games, 94,7%
- Mont Mouchet : 14 games, 78,6%
- RBF : 130 games, 75,4%
- Wake's island : 20 games, 75%
- Arracourt : 12 games, 75%
- Saverne's gap : 46 games, 73,9%
- St Vith : 19 games, 73,7%
- Pegasus bridge : 28 games, 71,4%
My worst ratios on maps (at least 4 games each side, i.e. at least 8 games overall) :
- halfmoon & sugar loaf : 11 games, 27,3%
- Vassieux : 9 games, 33,3%
- Rhzev : 10 games, 40%
- Austen's mount : 9 games, 44,4%
- Montélimar : 18 games, 44,4%
- the cauldron : 11 games, 45,5%
- Tunisia : 20 games, 50%
- battle of Warsaw : 12 games, 50%

I agree these are some good ones. I put in bold the ones I especially enjoy because of the challenge each side faces.

Not that we don't or won't listen Magnus but we just might not agree with you.
I have played Warsaw 47 time (1.66% of my games) 26 times as Axis 21 times as Allies winning 32 times (68.09%) 17 Axis wins 15 Allied wins. Not quite random.

I don't care because it is not fun for either side
Germans - I plink at infantry in fortresses with my tanks rolling 1 die at a time
Poles - I shoot at tanks with infantry 1 die at a time

Fair enough.
And my main beef with Warsaw is that it's considered a 3 star game when there's so many better maps with only 2 stars... Opinions, I know
And I agree with van Voort that it's mostly a boring shooting match (because there's only really that one strategy for both sides).

I agree with you Magnus. And as allies, you can't do anything with right flank cards. You cand even maneuver into a position where you can do anything with right flank cards.

You are an experienced player, Phread; if your opponents weren't experienced ones and risked an all-out charge strategy or alike, that would skew the numbers.
I agree that there is only 1 strategy in this map (shooting from a distance), but I could be missing something: it's not unusual that I am surprised at a given familiar map with a total unexpected strategy by an experienced player, unfortunately

What I am playing:
1. Scenarios in Looney Llama's SFTF Eastern Front Tournament.
2. Scenarios in the Troika's Season 7 Tournament.
3. Various scenarios in the Mediterranean, Western and Eastern fronts where I still need a victory on one side or the other to be promoted to COL.
4. Pegasus Bridge (mostly against cadets, also for promotion to COL).
5. Whatever anyone else invites me to play (usually).
What I am not playing:
6. SFTF scenarios (except for #1 and #5 above), as they are not needed for promotion to COL.
7. The new scenarios (except for #2 and #5 above), for the same reason as #6 above.
