TAKA - TuS
TAKA Enix - TuS Tenniskasi 0:6
always better tix here
1st MON-NO, CHI-NO (NY-ATL), 6 lokos (+1 open for a 43), my start
CAN be nice, if u get oranges, but I don't. Just 2, when Enix lays them. Me my only 6er I have, 6 yellow on grey, Enix 6 pink (grrr), me 5 black. I have 6 lokos, 6 white, so I am flexible. Enix 2 TO-PI. Cause of my 6 lokos, I can pay 6 white without risking to not be able to connect via 4 white down, so 6 white WIN-CAL. I fill my hands to 5 green, 5 red, 4 blue, 3 pink, 2 orange to 42 and play 3 green NO-LR, Enix 1er NASH-ATL, me 2 orange up LR-ST.L., Enix 3+1 yellow (so no more yellow for him), me 2 more green ST.L-CHI, having the first tic done . Not sure if he can kill my longest with blue or red via OMA-HEL-SEA-CAL, no red or pink or yellow open for my route, so I take a loko. Enix 3 pink to SLC, me 3+1 pink SEA-CAL, Enix 4+1 blue to MI, so blue seems sure. But what about red?
So first 3+1 pink SEA-CAL, Enix 5 white, me 5 red, Enix draws open blacks, me 4 blue OMA-CHI, Enix 5 green SANF-PORT, me 6 lokos SEA-HEL. A nice 43, good to have seen Enix taking blacks, against his 6 red I lost, but he 4 black CAL-HEL, I win
108:117
2nd SEA-NY, CAL-PHO (MON-NO) 4 lokos his start, Enix starts
to be continued
after 1 hour work, my PC deleted all the text!!!

OmG vs CIA
Patrick09 vs GenuineFauxFarm
3-3
Game 1:
Patrick La-Mia&La-NY vs Hel-LA, Cal-SLK (fiend fail on dul-El)(drop Chi-Fe)
119 - 106*
I take 6 orange and he follows with the black. I play 3 P to SFran and he follows with 3 B to Pho. I take 6 red on gray and he follows with 4 purple and I decided to finish the commitment with big north and longest, expecting he has la-mia at this point along with something smaller. I take white and blue and do secure longest. but, by the time he reveals la-ny, it's too late to do anything effective to stop it. Game's lost 119-116 if he has the two bigs and I win if he has ny-atl and I have a safe fiend chance in that case. So, I draw, miss and he has the two bigs. Oh well.
Game 2:
Patrick Por-Pho/Ny-Atl vs Hel-LA/Tor-Mia (drop Bos-Mia)
107*:119
I get 6 orange and he follows with 6 yellow. I take green and he follows with 5 white. Hmmmmm, says the farmer. Patrick follows with 1 blue to Portland, so I decide to make sure of the 2 gray to Fe. He takes two open black, so I grab 6 black. It seems pretty clear he'll have blue at this point and he got yellow, so I figure I can get to Mia via Tor without losing much advantage for track points and I can compete on longest.
Game 3:
Patrick: Den-Pit/SSM-Okc vs Chi-Fe/Van-Fe (drop Dal-NY)
109:122*
I've got locos this time and this is the first game starter wins.
I start with 6 orange and he follows with 6 orange on gray, so I respond with 6 white, using up some locos. He plays 4 blue and I follow with 6 yellow. He takes 4 green and he takes some open yellow. I take the 2 blue to Fe since he seems determined to go through OKC, and he can have 5 white if he wants it. He takes 4 red to confirm and I follow with 4 purple. Green is locked up for me since he's used his green. He takes 6 purple and I consider a big ticket on his side. I decide not to bite and go with 2 to Paso. I play out my 10 play longest track.
Game 4:
Patrick Van-Mon/Mon-No vs Den-El/Van-Fe/Sea-La
111*:126
I start with 6 black and he follows by taking two open white, so I take 6 yellow. He takes a blue and another card. I strongly consider 3 gray to Van at this point. And, as it turns out, that might have been my best play. But, I didn't do it his first play turns out to be.... 3 blue to Van. Heh. I take 6 white, forcing him to take 4 gray and I follow with 6 orange, so he uses his orange on gray. I take 4 blue and figure he'll have fun going around for a while. I connect and get the loopy-loo for long.
Game 5:
Patrick Mon-No/Win-LR/SSM-Nash vs Ny-Atl/Chi-No (drop Dal-NY)
120:85*
The peanut gallery suggested that I should have made it a battle in the East. They are probably correct. I started with 6 orange. He plays 6 orange on gray, which doesn't tell me much except that he might have gone big, so I take 6 white (now I have no locos) and the game is done. He plays 5 black and 2 white to Pit. I compound bad decisions with more bad decisions by forgetting at this point that he has THREE tickets and play for track points and maybe longest.
Game 6:
Patrick Sea-LA/Dul-Hou vs Van Fe/Dal NY (drop Bos-Mia)
83*:69
Track points cost me this time. He essentially gets the 6 gray on the turn just prior to when I was going to take it. I start with 6 orange and he follows with black. I take 6 yellow and 4 purple and he follows with green. Since I know I've got difficult tickets and I know Van-Fe is looking good to finish and Dal-NY will be dropped at this point, I take 2 to NO in case he does have big South. He takes 2 to Dul, 5 red and 3 purple while I finish filling my hand. I realize I can block whatever he's doing North to South. I manage to do that, but he nabs the big track we both wanted just in time and it makes all the difference. I make Van-Fe and drop Dal-NY as per the plan, but he drops both, but has longest by one.
Patrick, thank you for the match. Always a pleasure to play against you.
Best,
Rob

RUS IL2T - TuS Tenniskasi 3:3
Worth to read it, at least game 6!!!
1st PORT-PHO, DUL-HOU (SAULT-NASH), my start 5 lokos
Nice, 2 oranges open, they are mine!!! I couldn't know these are the last for me in this game
So 6 orange for Ilya. I get 6 yellow, find nice open colours (except oranges ), Ilya gets 4 green, 6 black, me 1er SEA-PORT, 5 white PHO-DEN, 3 more yellow SLC-DEN, 6 blue and 6 pink DUL-TO. He seems to have 21 and likely 16, but with start and 4 6er with longest (DUL-OMA-HEL, PHO-ELP-HOU-DALL) I finish in 10 and win vs. LA-CHI, LA-NY
111:121
2nd CAL-PHO, DUL-HOU (MON-NO) Ilya starts 6 lokos
At 24 cards I start to get angry, again no oranges, same I had Friday vs Enix, when I just won cause he had terrible tix most of the games. But Ilya gives me the time, so I get 5+1 late. Ilya 5+1 oranges on grey, me 6 yellow. We both draw some more, I try to get 4 blue for SEA-CAL to be able to answer, when his 6 whites come. So it is, Ilya 6 white, me 4 blue, the winner. Ilya goes down CAL-HEL-DEN-OKLA, me 6 green, 4 pink, DUL-OMA-DEN-PHO-LA-ELP-HOU, draw 2 blue for a 44, while Ilya plays 3 CAL-VAN, 5 black, 1er VAN-SEA and 3 blue MON-NY, plays 22 but didn't fullfill WIN-HOU, I win
91:123
3rd WIN-HOU, DEN-ELP (DALLAS-NY) my start 3 lokos
ORANGES!!!!! GREENS!!!! YELLOWS!!!! LOKOOOOOS!!!!!!! All small in my hand. Nothing open. I have 8 pink, 9 red, but 3 yellow, 3 green 3 oranges, 3 lokos. I get 6 grey, with 5+1 blue and white, while Ilya lays 6 yellow, 6 orange 4+2 pink, 2 NY-PI and 2 PI-TO. I overdraw, but nothing comes up. Ilya 4 green. Me 2er DEN-SANFE, Ilya draws. I fear his lokos and greens. I have 3er in yellow, so I decide to go via PHO. To not show too clear I want this green 6er, I start with SANFE-PHO, mistake, Ilya plays PHO-ELP for his 2nd tic DUL-ELP, me 2er SANFE-ELP. I am too slow, hate this game once more, draw NY-ATL, and he wins
122:94.
4th VAN-MON, WIN-HOU (BO-MI) Ilyas start, 4 lokos
Guess what Ilya lays after 26 cards, when I have 3 oranges? So I am slow, 6 yellow, 4 green, Ilya 6 black, 5 white, me my poor 3 oranges LA-PHO to encumber his longest. Ilya 3 PHO-ELP, me 6 pink on grey, 6 white 5 black, Ilya 4 pink and 2 OMA-DUL!!! Here I had the chance to win that game, but I was to focused on my problems. Who lays these 2 instead of 5 red or the way via CHI and saves his reds??? Yes, the LA-MI-player. I had to lay HOU-NO, but thats what Ilya did, while my greens and reds lay on HEL-DEN-OKLA. I fullfill my tix via DALLAS, but without start, I am too slow and just could draw 42, now I have 3 out in LA and 1 in VAN, he 6 black, we divide longest with his 4 blue to WIN and he wins with LA-MI, DUL-HOU
130:126
5th PORT-NASH, SAULT-NASH (MON-NO) my start 4 lokos
YEAH! 6!!!! oranges!!!! I calm down a bit . But I'm not happy enough with the rest of my colours, especially blue is short. So I don't want to take my 6 reds for grey, having just 3 yellow, not knowing how to connect 6 blue with 6 oranges. Ilya lays 5+1 orange on grey, 3+3 yellow and 6 white. Now I HAVE to react, 5 black. Ilya 2 black SAULT-TO, me 3 red TO-MON, I expect his 2 TO-PI, but he draws colours. I think long about laying 2 of my 3 white for NY-PI, but without 2 TO-PI, I have to connect with my only 3 blue, PORT-NASH dead! So I decide to play 2 white TO-PI. Ilya 3 more black SAULT-DUL. He now must be short in orange and black too, and now I see him drawing tons of open green. Not sure what for, but it doesn't seem to be dangerous. So I fill up my hand with a 2nd white, 4th yellow, 4th and 5th blue and 1 pink to have an option, cause he didnt play any blue, so I cannot start with 3 red DEN-SLC. Ilya 2 green NY-PI!!! Hm...he cannot have black and orange, had played 4 lokos already and 3 disappeared. He didn't take open yellows, but tons of green. I expect him going via ST.L. Hm, I can block 3 red, I can block 2 white ST.L-CHI, and I can block KAN-OMA with a single or 1pink+1 KAN-ST.L, what would be expensive for my way to 6 blue. Ilya plays 5 green, me 2 white block CHI, hoping he trys 2er to KAN. Ilya 2 blue! YES! 1er KAN-OMA by me. Dont know his next move, me 5+1 blue. He draws 2 open yellow. Upps!!! 4 yellow by me, he 3 yellow SLC-DEN, me my last pink and 2 lokos to connect and 3 red somewhere. I win vs his 22 and SAULT-OKLA
54:122
6th WIN-LR, SAULT-OKLA (CHI-NO)
MY BEST GAME!!!
6 ORANGE FOR ME!!!! Ilya, give up! I have 6 yellow and 7 pink on hand, but these are colours I want to hold for my longest, nothing for 6 grey . No white, 1 black when Ilya plays 6 black. Me 6 yellow. Ilya 1 yellow SEA-PORT. Hm... I want to block the way to CAL, but not with red, green, pink, also not happy to use blue, and white and black I dont have. I draw. Ilya too. OK! 4 BLUE CAL-SEA. We fill our hands up, I took open blacks and 6 white. Great! Ilya 6 blue PORT-SLC, 1 SEA-VAN (HE IS SLOOOOW!!!! ) 3 yellow SLC-DEN. Hm me 4 red DEN-OKLA, having 4 lokos and 1 pink on hand. If he means he must block 4 green, np I can go via OMA. Ilya 6 orange on grey! Grrrr. Well, np, I drew a lot of whites the last moves, 6 whites will be out, cause I had to use my 4 blue for SEA-CAL, but his oranges too, np. Me 2er OKLA-LR to avoid, that he luckily needs it for a PORT-NASH-Tic. Ilya 2er DEN-SANFE, me 4 green HEL-DEN. Ilya 6 white. GRRRRRR!!!, also np, I can get longest with 4 white CAL-SEA, 6 pink, 2er TO-SAULT, 5 black to MON. Blocking his 3 VAN-CAL can lead to his block of my 4 CAL-HEL, and if he connects 3 pink to SLC, longest is more in danger. So 4 white CAL-HEL. Ilya 3 VAN-CAL, me 6 pink, Ilya has to draw, me 2 TO-SAULT, Ilya 2er SANFE-ELP, me 5 black, Ilya 6 red. I have longest! He must have 28 in tix, impossible with his route. YEAH. I finish with a 1er, look at the score. Oh he didn't play both, he missed one!?!? Häää??? I have 13+4??? SHIIIIIIT!!!!! IT'S ME WHO MISSED ONE!!!! FORGOT WINNI!!!!! So he wins a lost game with VAN-SF + 4
106:96
Really well played for a player with such low experience. I was not concentrated enough to bring that game home with this advantage of tix in last game. So I have to live with that result. Luckily this tie was enough to win the clash, cause Thomue and Spock were more concentrated. Thx for ur flexibility, Ilya. Would be nice to see u play more often.

ITL BalduvianHorde - OmG Schaffnerlos 2:4
66 : 97*
-Sea/LA -LA/NY vs +Van/Mon -Den/ElP (Hel/LA discarded)
Balanced colours, 5 locos, start, looks good, so I start with 6 orange on grey - he plays 6 white (bleh). That's not what i was waiting for! ... my 6 yellow were followed by his 4 blue. Northern route dead ... I play 4 green, he 6 orange and 6 purple. I have enough blue to spend 3 for 3 grey to Mon (hoping he has not enough locos to block the 4white/4blue/4purple way to connect my Van/Mon). It worked out to connect my big tic.
86* : 74
+LA/NY -Van/Mon vs +Win/LR -Mon/Atl (Chi/SFe discarded)
Alessandro starts with 6 yellow (me 6 of my too many greens on grey) followed by his 5 black. Grrr ... 3 to SSM to prevent a too easy connection for him. He 3 blue NY/Mon and 2 white (NY), me 3 red on grey to Mon. Getting longest seems far away. Think about Sea/NY in his hand, but he goes Pit/SL with 5 green and (although i tried) i could no longer block his route to LA (via Chi/Dul/Om/Den/Pho). No chance for me to fulfil my Mon/Atl nearby.
93 : 119*
+Den/Pit +LA/Chi vs +Sea/LA +Van/SFe (Mon/Atl discarded)
West tics, start and 7 locos for me ... nice. Alessandro starts with 6 orange and i spend 3 locos for 6 yellow. He 4 green, me 6 black. He 3 yellow Pho/LA (ahhh) ... me 5 white. He goes to ElP with blue - me 2 green ElP/SFe to have some options. He lays 4 red and i decide to climb up via SF (3 purple). He had enough yellow to connect (me 6 blue). He plays 6 purple (again LA/NY?) and i connect my track with 1 (Por) and 5 orange. Alessandro could no longer go for longest, so he had to draw (needed 17 for a tie) --> found -Chi/SFe
112* : 121
+LA/Chi +Dul/ElP vs +LA/Mia +KC/Hou (Sea/NY discarded)
Again a nice balanced hand and a tic i like. 6 orange by my opponent - 6 black by me (uff). He had to lay 3 black to LA (ahh). I played 5 white, he 3 blue to ElP (Deja Vu --> see game 3). Decided to lay 2 orange ElP/SFe, followed by his 4 green (uff again). Then i saved my 6 red, he didn't block at NO, 2(NO), 6 green, 5 yellow, 6 purple on grey (longest was long gone) and last but not least 2 to KC --> break
51 : 81*
+Den/Pit -LA/NY -Cal/Pho vs +Dal/NY -SSM/Okl (Bos/Mia discarded)
Bleh-Tics, to keep Dal/NY is definitely not my favourite. Alessandro kept 3 tics and began with 6 orange ... ok, i laid 6 orange on grey followed by 6 purple. He played 3 black and 3 red (again a big NY-Tic i think, but probably not that bad anyway in this case for me). 2 white (NY) by me, he 4 green to Den and 3 yellow Pho/LA. Thought my only chance would be to prevent him from connecting, so i forced Alessandro to go the long way NY/Was/Ral/Atl/Nas/SL/Chi.
At the end he fortunately had not 5 white (i had 9) to connect Den, but tried to go via SFe. I could play 3 Pho/SFe and 3 Pho/ElP and Alessandro had no 6 black/locos ... only blue on his hand ... and the blues i think.
126*:107
+Dul/Hou +Chi/NO +SSM/Nas vs +SSM/Okl +Dul/ElP (Chi/SFe discarded)
Clear win for Alessandro --> very nice (longest) track with all tics fulfilled. My experiment with a northern route (6 grey, 6 white, 6 orange, 4 green, 4 red, 5 yellow) was by far not enough.
Thx Alessandro for the challenging games and good luck for the rest of the tournament.

ITL SuperPello vs OmG tigergirl_1990 2:4
Needed a win for tie the clash but again lucky wasn't in my side.
Four games with the tix of the starter too strong for the opponent and 2-2 .
In game 5, my start, wonderful choice between Den-Elpa / Chi-Sfe / Bos-Mia . And if it wasn't enough only 1 loko in 42 cards. Tried to block a big tix but Carina moved with a confortable SSM-Okla + Cal-SLC .
Lost and lost clash in favour of OmG.
In game 6, another wonderful choice between LA-NY / Chi-Norl / Bos-Mia (in 6 games I saw 3 DAL-Ny and 2 Bos-Mia). And if it wasn't enough 2 blacks 3 oranges and 5 lokos (9 whites). Built a LA-Hel-Chi-Ny and 6 yellows linking Sea, then I draw tix with 9 cards in hand ready for lot of tix: Port-Nash , Winn-Hou , SSM-Nash . Incredible.
Grats Carina and grats OmG for the win.

CHAMP / CIA
Pifbat69 - Montlouis / scorps
4 / 2
- 124* / 105
Hel/La + Ssm/Okh + road // La/Mia + Mont/Atl
I play vastly, with really good colors 6 black/6orange /5 yellow... Ross, because I've the start, had to play little 3+3... so I've more points (96/76) and the road. I'll "block" Mia/Atlan with 5 blue after his 6 red...
- 81 / 76*
Winn/Hous (not connect) + Kan/Hous + road // Dul/Hous + Chi/NewOr (not connect both)
Both try to block the other. After Ross play the 5 red for my connection Omaha/He, I'll block him with 2 StLouis/Little... He has more points (78/91) and I've to choice between points... or the road... So I count... and for one, if i'll play a little 2, I've it. So, I'll play 2 pink Kans/StLouis ... and road + victory...
- 64* / 107
Chi/NewOr + Kans/Hous (not connect both) // He/La + Dul/ElPa + road
I'll play vastly again... 6 black/6green... Ross block with 2... so Chi/NewOr is over...
He take oranges, and I'll try to go by SanFr / SaltLake / ... He had an hesitation to block me... but he do his road... and me I'll try to play like I've La/Chi... He had the road, and nothing for me... So, I draw... but this time, nothing. I'll play 3 locos to Pitt... and draw again... but nothing.
And Ross never think really I have La/Chi... grrr
- 124 / 117*
La/Ny + Den/ElPa + La/Helena in the draw // road + Atla/SanFr and one on north..
Nice colors again for me.
I'll play 6 black / 6 orange... and connect with 5 yellows, 4 red / green.... During this time, Ross have to play -before my 1st move the 6 green... and he connect with 3 + 3 ... Opportunatly, he dont try to block me... and good colors for me turn open... so I can make my choice to complete my hand. He had the road, but more points for me (91/78).
Before last move, I draw ticket.. On my way, Hel/La + Dul/ElPa (on my road) and possible Cal/Ph + La/Chi + Den/Pitt... I found He/La and play 5 white for points. It give me the victory
- 73* / 117
Den/ElPa + Dul/Hous (not connect both) // Seat/La + Cal/Ph + road
I'll take vastly the 6 oranges. Because Ross draw yellow open, I'll play them... Ross take Sea/Cal... So, I take the 6 whites... Time for Ross to draw cards ... and I'm sure he had big north... Because I've only 1 loco, and 4 blue / 3 black... I draw too... Ross pay for Sea/Por... Nice!! He draw pink... so I'll play 3 red Salt/Den... and after 3 pink (with 1 loco)... He go to south... with 3 yellow SanFr/La... and draw black open. I play Den/SanFe... But when Ross take green open, I played them... and Ross block me. Not a problem I think. I had big north... so -20 or -22...
He had the road, same points (85/85) but nothing to find for me.
I think he had Cal/Ph or Cal/SaltLake...
When I saw his combo, ouch... No Big North... Rats... and thx for the travel!!!
- 131 / 110*
La/Chi + Port/Ph + road // Den/Pitt + Winn/Little
Crazy colors for me. 6 oranges / 6 yellow...Ross play the grey (6 blue I think) / 6 pink... I play 6 black... and draw 2 red... so Ross play 6 pink. I play 3 red, Ross 3 oranges (or black, not sure).
I can choice colors open to complete my hand. They came to me, really.
Ross play Cal/He and 4 greens... I'll take greens (8+1 loco) and finish with 45 cards, the road, more points (94/88)
Impossible for him to play this game : better combo and crazy colors for me.
Thx Ross for easy scheduling
Hope better luck for you next round.

Played yesterday with TAKA Tiploup as substitute for TAKA Enix
Knockando - Tiploup 3.5.-2.5
1- Port-Nash /Den-Pitt(KC-Hou) vs Dul-Elp / Win-LR / SSM-Nash + start
3 locos for me but good colors
I open black, him 6 orange, then 3 yellow LA-SF, him 3 white LR-Nash ! ! !
Now bad colors and not enough locos, I play 4 yellow, but too slow he win 11-123 with longest
2-Den-Pitt / Cal-Phoe (Bos-Mia) vs Van-Mon /Van-sanfe
9 locos this time
I open 6 orange, him 4 green, me 4 black hel-CAl, him 6 orange on grey, me 1 in sea-port, him 4 blue, me 6 purple him 2 den-sanfe (hum, probably van-sanfe...), me 5 white.
I have 8 locos in hand, I find blue for longest, I keep my locos waiting his 3 in van and play them on white
128-44
3- Den-Pitt / Dul-Elpaso (Sea-LA) vs Van-Mon /Cal-Phoe
me 6 orange him 6 yellow
4 green 6 red in grey
6 purple 5 black, ok another big north for him...
2 orange in pitt to connect my ticket if he has an east ticket 4 blue so 5 white for me
...later in the game he plays 2 den-sanfe, I think cal-phoe so I count. whatever his tickets, if I just play sanfe-Phoe without Phoe-elpaso,and overdraw I end with a sure longest of 45 and a win
119-109
4- Van-Mon + KC-Hou (Bos-Mia) vs Port-Phoe + LA-Mia
3 locos and lot of 5 cards
he takes blue open and play 6 black, I think port-nash I have 6 green 5 yellow I want to slow him connecting my little ticket I play my 5 yellow
him 6 blue me 6 orange
I know I have to play 6 green, but I don't want to be blocked in north I don't have anymore yellow
him 3 SLC-Den me 6 red in grey
him 4 purple me 3 in van
him 3 LA-Phoe and I lose the game here because I don't play my 6 green I play 6 white before so he plays (3+3locos) green, I think "shit stupid me" and I don't think enough and I block dul instead of hou
107-124
I need a win for my team, score should be 3-1 and it is 2-2
5- Den-Pitt (yes 4th time in 5 games) / Tor-Mia (Chi-No) vs LA-Chi + Dul-Elp
6 black for him 6 orange for me
6 yellow in grey for him 4 green
2 den-sanfe for him (again...) and after that I don't remember all
He took white open so I think van-sanfe and I play 6 white out of my route.
Hopefuly he has a slow route, I think I can have a longest with 45 but it is a 46 route and I see that too late so I play the bad color on a 4 grey and after that I have to overdraw to connect.
We end 44-44 for longest, I have 5 more track points, but my mistake gave him an extra turn to fiend, he has 5 or 6 tickets to find, hopefuly he didn't take tickets and it is 117-117
During the game I think my 6 white will kill me, but finally it was probably a good move.
Game 4 could have been for me, game 5 could have been for him, 1-1
6-LA-Ny / Hel-LA (Mon-Atl) vs 2 east tickets
I need to win the game to tie the clash.
2 locos after 42 cards, 6 orange for him, bad start !
I play 4 green,I take 2 cards open (a red and a blue), don't know if i'll try by north or south
I have 8 black, 6 red, 4 orange 5 white 5 yellow 6 blue, 2 purple 2 more green and 2 locos and I think a lot during all the game ! !
I choose south and play 6 black...he plays 6 red, route is dead !
4 yellow in Pitt, him 1 in Atl...I had start but he will be too fast for me I have to slow him down so 2 black SL-Nash, him 2 pitt-Char
2 green in NY, 2 to connect Atl for him
2 purple KC-SL, him 3 in Mon
I can't have a longest in less than 13 tracks, too slow, he will have the longest so I count if I can have enough track points or if I need to connect fast and fiend. I count and count and count and can have enough points if 6 grey 6 blue 4 orange to connect den-KC, 5 white and 1 yellow+2 locos in LA-Phoe.
So I start with 6 red in grey, he still have his black but don't play them so I need to play 4 orange before 6 blue.
I'm afraid of 6 blue but he plays 4 yellow to connect his 6 red so I play 6 blue.
If he plays 5 white I'll need to count again, but hopefuly he can't so I end my game.
He was thinking la-mia for me and don't draw at the end : 115-110
Thanks Tiploup for playing this evening, and thanks for nice games

CIA ommie vs ZiL - Bergerac = 3.5-2.5
The toughness of this match resulted in 3 ties and a win by 1 point! Due to that, I think it deserves a report!
Game 1: van mon/den paso vs cal slc/hel la/dul paso, my start. He gets 6 orange early, I get 6 white, then 6 yellow. He takes 6 black then 3 yellow la sf, so I throw 6 green to prevent a fast south biggie. I end up getting 6 grey, 6 blue & 5 black while he connects with 3 pink, and 5 white. At some point I consider blocking cal, but don't and he takes cal hel, and I take sea cal. He lays 5 pink to por and I hope he needs sea, but I never see the 1 from him. Can't remember how it ended, but big track points with den paso dead was enough to tie his 3 tix and longest. 114-114
Game 2: ssm nash/ny atl vs win hou/den paso. I start 6 orange, he throwing 6 orange on grey. I take 6 white and I think he takes 4 pink. I don't have decent colors to do much this game, and I'm slow. I end up getting 6 yellow, 3 dul ssm, 5 black, 3 blue and down to nash with 5 green. He connects the middle with 6 green, 3 pho paso, 5 white, 2 dul, 6 more pink and throws 4 sea cal to block my possible longest. I draw at the end to maybe find 42, but find only mon atl. 2 stinking locos didn't help much in that one. 101-118
Game 3: sea ny/ssm ok vs win lr/cal pho. I start 6 yellow, him 6 white, me 6 orange, him 6 orange on grey. He puts 4 pink cal-hel, so I take 4 green. He take 5 red, so I think for a bit...no super fast colors for me, he's used 1 loco, longest for me is out, and I need him to slow down. So, with pink and red gone for him, I put 1 oma-kc. He takes 2 pink open for 4 and I had already played 6 pink and 5 black at some point and have no locos left. I could've put 2 to fe to make things more interesting for him, but didn't have great colors to end I need to get some bigger tracks. I connect my tix and collect decent colors to end with 5 white. He's slow enough with the 2's, 3 and 5 yellow that I win by 1 without longest. 119-118
Game 4: sea ny/cal pho vs la ny/por nash. I have some fabulous colors and locos this game. I start 6 yellow, he gets 6 black. More colors for me and he takes 3 pink la sf and I take 6 orange. Some good news...he takes 2 pitt-ny. I take 3 blue. He's going to be slow as long as I don't see big tracks through mia. So, I take my time getting the colors open that I want and planing the most efficient track to go out fast. If he's got big tix, longest should be enough for me. He connects 4 yellow, 3 white, 2 dal, 6 green, and 5 pink. My track has 6 pink, 3 tor mon, 4 and 4 through cal, 4 green, 5 white and 3 locos to la to finish. He ends with 6 blue, 3 to denver and only dal ny to draw for, which isn't enough. 133-117
Game 5: cal slc/den paso vs cal pho/win lr. To counter the great stuff from last game, I have 2 locos, which I burn on 6 yellow after he takes 6 orange. When he takes 6 white (grrr), I take 6 black. I put in 3 pink to slc and he puts 2 to fe. Hoping he has a hou tic, I throw 6 green, which prompts him to put 2 hou no. I used 4 blue sea cal, and now have 8 red, 6 white and horrible doubles/singles left. He puts 2 dal-lr, preventing la mia, so I lay the single to finish off houston and keep open my chances of looping. 2 dal-ok and 3 fe-pho from him. I have to overdraw to get a 3er for my longest, and when he doesn't lay pho paso, I take it. I'm able to get longest (puh) with 3 red slc-den, 5 white, 4 red paso-dal and 2 to vegas. He ends with 2 fe, 4 cal hel, 5 yellow (?) and 6 on grey. Smallest possible tix for me with longest = Tie #2. 107-107
Game 6: sf atl/tor mia vs mon atl/ssm nash. Late in drawing cards, it's hard to decide what to do. Neither of us wants to start early. So, when in doubt...6 orange. He throws 6 orange on grey, me 6 pink, him 5 black. Again, I'm lacking locos and colors to do much, so I hope he has east and lay 2 tor-pitt. He takes 2 ny-pitt, I take 2 pitt-ral...I need to save my 2 yellow. 3 blue from him, 2 more to atl for me. Some colors open for both and when he picks a blue, I have to lay my 5 to miami. He takes 6 yellow, so I have to lay 4 green. He connects down to nash with 5 green + 1 to atl. I get more colors and take 6 red. Now I have to wait and take some blind colors to finish my hand before taking 3 den slc since he hasn't used white. 4 sea cal, an over draw to get a loco and 6 white from him. So I get my 3 and 5 white to sf. Things don't look so great for me here as I have 2 orange and 2 singles to end and I know he must have a 4er to get longest. With his 2 east + longest, which I assume he has with the way it was played, I'm losing by a few. But, if I had 4 to tie longest, I'm winning. He draws (!), I lay 2 to hou to trigger last move and he lays 3 to van. I only have 1 to lay, but now I have longest and we end up with Tie #3!!! 122-122
Some super tough games that left my brain hurting. I needed a win today to even up the clash, and somehow squeaked it out! I felt I was fighting colors or tix or both the whole match. So frustrating to have to burn precious locos when your opponent gets most 6ers without using them. Grr! Thx for a great match, Gilles!
GO CIA!!!
