New Version Sucks!

This new version totally sucks! How can I get the old version back? I hate this new version. I don't even want to play it any more. Thanks for ruining the only game I like(d) to play.

Please give us a classic option. Don't care for the new version. The its your turn / pick another card is particularly annoying.

I agree. First thing I did was scour the setting to see if I could turn off the your turn/ pick another card banner that pops up all the time. That banner makes me want to quit playing

I could not agree more about the terribleness on the new version. I don't like the animations, the persistent prompts to choose cards (especially the 2nd card). Add to the list of gripes that all my high scores disappeared too. I used to play this game any time I had anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour to kill. 1 game into the new version and I'm ready to delete the app. I created this account just to convey my extreme dissatisfaction- that's how bad you've made something that was previously great.

I have to agree, this sucks.
Apart from the silly new 'flashy' screen the game play seems to have changed. I play to enjoy and kill some time but the 'other players' are simply about getting their trains on the tiles. To finish a game when they get scores of 50s and 60s and you don't have the time to get a reasonable score is 'not fun'.
Let us have the old version back, it was fun.

Gratuitous animations that are basically annoying. Like the wild cards sliding back and forth so far when you draw. Mandatory delay between card one and card two. The timer which I think encourages people who are losing to let their time run out, rather than drop out. The filters aren't intuitive. The number of players in an online game is hard to see. Auto zoom - not needed.
The old version was pretty good for game play. This new version is a giant step back. Grrrr!

They should at least bring back the old animations, and undo all the game/animation speed changes they have made. This is the minimal requirement to make the game playable again without causing eye strain.

Glad you like it!! We've been listening and working very hard to make this game the best it can be!!! You can expect more fixes coming soon as we continue our regular updates. 
The iOS version update it coming very soon and all versions will be on a scheduled system to continue fixes and improvements.

Is there a complete changelog somewhere? I don't want to update again before knowing for sure that it's worth it. Reverting back to the old version is a hustle.

For those who find the new version lacking and have a copy of TTR Pocket 1.3.1 somewhere.
DRAFT - No implied warranty or guarantee it will continue to work.
If you play Ticket to Ride (TTR) on an Android you can ignore this as you never had these features or just read for entertainment.
So all you IOS users that use TTR Pocket probably are not big fans of the 2.x "downgrade" Days of Wonder" came out with (no bots in local mode, no blue tooth support, no game center support, can't games longer then 15 days, friends HAVE TO BE ONLINE and you know their friend name to add them, does not share DLC between different versions,etc,etc. I recommend writing a review and rating it on iTunes and leaving messages on Days of Wonder forum about the issues and demanding they restore the pocket edition back to 1.3.1.
Here is how to get yourself back to a pre-downgrade version of TTR Pocket (not what used to be called the IPad edition). This assumes you have access to the 1.3.1 version of the TTR Pocket 1.3.1 ipa file.
Backup up your phone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1. Restore a copy of "TTR Pocket 1.3.1.ipa" to your Desktop from a backup source such as Time Machine, CrashPlan, Windows Backup,etc. Normally found in the "Mobile Applications folder under iTunes folder.
2. Then download and install Imazing from https://imazing.com/ (you can use the trial edition to do this), if you like buy it, it is 10% of right now I believe.
3. On all your IOS devices that have TTR Pocket under Settings, ITunes & App Stores deselect Updates under AUTOMATIC DOWNLOADS otherwise you will overwrite your fix later.
4. Open iTunes and backup locally first for each IOS device. Then backup to iCloud from your IOS device Settings, iCloud, Backup (must be on Wi-Fi for a iCloud backup)
5. Close iTunes.
6. For each IOS device attached via USB cord and run Imazing, select device, select Apps, select Manage Apps and select Restore App, Point it to the copy of the ipa file mentioned above. It may tell you it is already there and ask if you want to replace it (the answer is YES).
7. Disconnect the USB cables and close Imazing and open iTunes, go to Applications and delete TTR Pocket from iTunes (not the Europe edition). It will warn you it will delete it from your devices (it shouldn't because it is 2.x not 1.3.1).
8. Now double click (or may have to right click and open with iTunes) on the 1.3.1 version of TTR Pocket you have on your desktop. This will put 1.3.1 back in your iTunes Library and you should be good.
9. DON'T LET ITUNES UPDATE YOUR TTR Pocket. If it happens go back to step 4 and do it again.

I have tried and tried to get used to the new version, but I am just plain irritated with the new version. I play on the pocket version on my I-phone and where as I used to regularly score in the 140s to 150s, I am now lucky to score 120. I get down to the mid teens in my card count and the AI reacts by grabbing as many large card routes as it possibly can with little apparent thought to its goals (where is it getting all of cards of the same color??). I used to love this App, but it as ceased to be fun. Thanks for the ride while it lasted, but I guess it's time to get off the train.

Please go back to the old timing system. It is incredibly annoying to have someone quit playing but not leave. Then you have to wait for up to 15 minutes for the computer to kick them out. Meanwhile, others who don't want to wait quit so you have to wait another 10-15 minutes. Just go back to kicking someone out if they haven't played for 2 minutes.

Yeah, game timers suck. They should have implemented turn timers instead. Game timers don't work when someone quits the game early on.

I'm not sure if you saw this:
Creating an online game mixing humans and bots
It is possible to create an online game mixing humans and bots, but it is accomplished a bit differently than before: it is now part of the invitation system.
Go to the Play -> Online panel, and select “Buddies”. Add the players that you want to put in the game from your Buddy List. At the bottom of the list, you will see names of bots (they have a gear icon in front of them). Simply add them to the game like other players.
