I've just update and surprise, i can't play in a local mode anymore!!!!!! Crying or Very Sad Evil or Very Mad
I use to play at home with my girlfriend, each with a different ipad but now, when we try to create a local game, it doesn't appear, not in wifi mode nor in bluetuth.
You know why?????
I hope you won't force us to update the ios too cause I have an ipad2 and it will be its dead!!!!!

I'm having the same problem. I was able to do a local game during the beta test phase that included a Steam player and an iPad, but right now I'm unable to do that. I'm wondering if this is because I'm running version 2.0.1 on steam and 2.0.0 on my iPad. Just as a heads up Bluetooth is no longer supported you must be on the same wifi/wired network.

Well I was able to get a game visible between my three devices iPod4, iPad1, and Steam.

It was started on my iPod. The iPad could successfully join. The Steam could not producing this error:
An error has occurred (129 unknown error)

Following this I tried to create the game on steam and had it crash altogether.

I should note that I can play an Online game with these devices just not a local game. Local games seem to be having problems seeing each other.

Well, that was a waste of time, the new interface is awful. By all means introduce new functionality but next time get some grown ups to design the interface. Bye.

Thanks, Shawn. That was helpful. Just the opposite, my setting had changed from tablet to IPhone. Anyhow, that part is okay now. Didn't have any luck with restore, just paid the 5 bucks to get all the maps.

Why did you make the play so slow on the new version. For people like me who played all the time and could play two or three games in 10 minutes the fun is gone. Please please please please do something to bring back the old game get rid of the graphics nobody needs to to know how many trains the other person put down. Why would you put both decks of cards next to each other .it just slows down the play by people mistakenly clicking on the wrong set. The beauty of this was you didn't have to go find the box lay out all the pieces set up the cards to play game now frankly it's just a waste of time, I would rather mindlessly sit and play candy crush. Your fixed what was not broken it's so bad you will lose tons of players. The silver lining was I was totally addicted and I won't be playing anymore.

I have TTR Pocket on both my iPhone and iPad. I decided to buy the full pack with the upgrade and maps (even if I had bought TTR europe and many maps before) to support you. Now TTR pocket on iPad is still telling me to upgrade to 'Full' version after every game?!?! I thought I bought that in the 9,99€ pack??

They are actively working a fix for this bug. They indicated it should hopefully be out next week.

I understand the lack of Bluetooth Support for local play, but why did you remove computers from local play? I enjoy playing this game with my kids but we also would include the computers to get to 4 players and double-tracks. Please restore this capability to local play ASAP.

For now if you play an online Buddy game you can invite your husband and any bots you want to play. It's not a perfect answer in that you need to be online with your own DOW accounts and not just on the same wifi network, but it is a workaround for now.

This is the strategy of the Vanderbot IA. This is a technique used by a lot of competitive players in two-player games. If you don't like this behavior, select another IA personality (push on the IA name again).

I must be missing something. How the heck do I leave the app once I'm done playing? On my nexus 7 tablet, when I back out to the opening screen, where I can select play or more options, there's no arrow at the top left to bring me out of the app, and the three dots that are visible at the bottom of the screen in many apps (which takes you out of the app) aren't there, either. I was clicking around, trying to exit, and found that selecting forums takes me to a web browser, so I can at least leave the game without shutting down the tablet, but where is the actual exit button?

To avoid infinite loops (in case the deck is stuffed with locomotives), the digital version only "flushes" the 5 visible cards 3 times.

Did you notice a few flushes before the cards ended up that way?
If this is the case, it's normal...

I have TTR for iPad and TTR pocket for my iPhone.

On the iPad I purchased the 1910 expansion, but not on my iPhone.

With this new expansion, I upgraded my iPad AND my iPhone. It says "pocket" but looks the same as the new iPad version. (Is this correct?)

I followed your instructions and removed the pocket edition, even though it looked like the new version and I searched for ticket to ride in the Apple Store. I found it, but it was priced at $7.99

That can't be right can it? I own the iPad version, and it's supposed to be the same, so why is there a price? And do I need it if the pocket ed. Looks the same?

At any rate, I opened the pocket version and tried to "restore purchases" hoping the iPad's 1910 expansion would come through, it did not. So the two apps still seem separate from each other, even though I am logged in with the same account and they look the same.

Any help would be appreciated. (Btw: I for one like the improvements made, not sure why so many people are posting negative comments)

Unfortunately, the game doesn't work anymore (Dutch device). I get thrown out when pushing any button.

Tried the options mentioned in PlayStore, but nothing so far

There is a known bug that's preventing some users from updating properly and we've been working closely with Apple to get that resolved. Hopefully your issue will be resolved when this is fixed as well, but just to be sure it's related to the same bug I'd like you to submit a bug report if you don't mind.

I think I have the same question as the French comment, but I can't read French. I bought the complete pack plus full upgrade for $10, but now I only have all maps, and no up grade. They want me to pay another $4.99 for the full upgrade I supposedly already bought. What do I do?

Same here! Days of Wonder, what gives? I thought the wrinkles were getting ironed out. Actually played a few online games without any bugs today and then boom...I'm gone and can't get back on online. "Serve contact error". How do we reconnect?

I love the TTR Pocket edition, and the new version is also great. Before the recent changes I had bought all the available maps. I understand the sale on the "Complete Pack" is supposed to cover previous purchases, even though the difference is somewhat annoying.

However, when I bought "Ticket to Ride Pocket, Ticket to Ride Complete Pack + Full Version." This was supposed to include the upgrade to the "Full Version" as the name suggests. For some reason, I had to to pay for "Ticket to Ride Pocket, Ticket to Ride - Full Version" in order to unlock the "Full Version." Is this a bug in the in-app-purchace code?

I looked for a FAQ on this double-billing issue but saw nothing related. I have submitted an "issue" to Apple to request the purchase be reversed.

Yes, this is a known bug preventing users from gaining access to the Full version even though you get all the maps. We're working on it with Apple and it will automatically be given to you. So get the refund for the "full version" that will be given to you and you should be all set.

Sorry about the confusion! I've been trying to catch people before they buy it twice but I must have missed you.

We're working on that bug with Apple right now! Once it's resolved, you'll gain access to the full version without having to do anything. Sorry about the delay and the confusion!

Das neue Design ist ja so was von hässlich, die alten Karten haben viel besser zu den jeweiligen Regionen und Zeitepochen gepasst! Außerdem dauert ein Spielzug jetzt viel länger und die einzelnen Möglichkeiten einen Spielzug zu machen sind total umständlich.
Kann ich so nicht weiterempfehlen!
Hatte es eigentlich nur wegen dem neuen Spielplan Indien aktualisiert, jetzt wünschte ich, ich könnte es rückgängig machen.
Bitte macht doch ein neues Update mit dem alten Layout und dem neuen Spielplan.

The app is now more childlike. I prefer the old version. This version does not work as smooth as the old one. This morning i havr a problem. I cannot play the online game. The app requests that i should look at my network. However, i am able to go on the internet and all other apps work. Its a TTR problem. Disappointed.

I was able to restore my purchases on Ipad today without any issue.

Now that I've played on Ipad, Iphone and on Steam here are my remarks:

The Plus:
1) India map looks great on Ipad and Iphone, nice job.
2) The animation to show the color of the train played looks much better on Ipad than on Steam.
3) IoS games are definitely alright to play in tournaments.

To improve:
4) On Ipad, graphics look good for India/Asia, alright for Europe/Swiss, but the USA map is really not attractive -except on the Iphone where the compromise works fairly well considering the size of the device. On steam, India looks pretty bad.
5) The online interface looks much better on Ipad. The missing buddy list features (sort your buddy list, what's your buddy list activity) is my main complaint.
6) The only thing that can be improved, would be to see who's playing in the different games at one glance instead of clicking on each game.
7) If there's no kick, filter by score would be great as a replacement.

Misc
The brown background of the app is really ugly, and makes the app so dark.
Having your avatar during the game instead of the default characters' faces would be so much better.

I have no doubt the technical bugs will be fixed, so no need to elaborate on those. Good luck to the crew!

If the steam app could be as good as the Ipad app, this would be a much better experience overall. Because at the moment, there's no real comparison unfortunately...PC players have nothing to be excited with the update.

How to add bots into local game?
It doesn't make sense to play, for instance, having only 2 players. In old apps I could add 2-3 bots and enjoy the game.
So what was happened with this option?
