If s/he can beat people as one accountname then s/he could beat the same people as the other accountname. Gain the same points from the same wins. What is the purpose of assembling the points indirectly in this manner?

I have not looked but I assume in the active account, they are collecting points from the 1400 levels. (1500 level beating 1400 level scores about 2 points per win.) So say after 20 games, Spirou has gained 10 points from wins & losses. After winning these points, then one plays the Hourrapapa account, which basically means he can lose 8 times in a row and gain 10 points.
But if Hourrapapa 1700 plays the 1400 levels, when he loses, he loses a lot and the gain is so much lower. It takes a lot more games (probably 2 times) for 1700 level to gain against those lower levels.

To make it even more clear : if I was playing at a 1500 level consistently on 2-p EU map (is it a safe assumption ? I'll let others judge  ), it would pretty easy to have a 2000+ account by using multiple accounts.
Assume I'm playing on 5 accounts, I'd use 2 accounts I would keep at 1500 level. Those 2 accounts would feed 2 accounts which would get up to the 1650 level. I would pump off those two accounts for 50 points every time for the benefit of my star account. This process can be repeated withtout limit. The total rating change is conservative in a game so as soon as this would be rolling, I would only need to be able to get my 1450 accounts back to 1500 before washing them out again to my 1600 accounts would would get back to 1650 which could in turn again give 100 points to my main account etc...
It would be a boring grind but there would be little to no limit to this rating pumping. At one point, I would earn so little from my 1600/1650 accounts that I would pump up an another account to 2000+ which in turn could easily be washed out again to get my star account at a 2400 level...
This only proves how easy it is to cheat the rating system if it's not monitored (and it's obviously not monitored) and why this whole stuff makes no sense in a non-competitive environment.

All this for climbing from #130 to #110? Those things needn't be cheating every time. Perhaps there is just a son playing others, feeling strong enough then to challenge his father with an old account, who actually stopped playing, but comes back for his son for some games. Not everyone plays for the ranking...
I like this game, and my 15 years old son is really good in playing games. Perhaps he once start a career here. I'm sure, he'd loose a lot of games vs me at the beginning, but could beat 1400er and 1500er early. So this could be a performance of my son and me too.

Just to boot ur rank, it's not necessary to win by 400 points, it would take too much time. But a frustrated son could draw tix after tix...
Sure, it CAN be cheating, but it's just not enough for me to INSINUATE cheating. Be careful with that, please.

Interesting, looking at Cachou-et-Spirou's score, he wins a lot when not playing hourrapapa. Wonder what that rating would be without all those losses to hourrapapa?
Actually, I just looked at hourrapapa history (to see if from 2007 until now if I had played him/her, and did not see anything there) however I noted he/she does win at quite a high rate even when not playing Cahou-et-Spirou.
But when I looked history, I noticed when he plays a player I know (a top 200 type) he lost 19 of the 20 I looked at. So not sure what this means. If he is also exploiting system of timer in the Steam system or has that problem been corrected?

To be fair with general7star, as far as I can tell, while he had a shady history in use of timer and quitting games that would impact his rating thus inflating his rating by that method of cheating, when he has been called on it over and over now, he has changed.
I can foresee a time in the future eventually when general7star will be allowed into tournaments. His rating obviously would still be impacted by that history of many months ago now.

Sorry Dale, that wasn't long ago. I remember two weeks ago when he still opened his 1-day-long games in Steam. And you can still see people writing about this almost every day. Hi still does this bullshit again and again and again.

And this will be the day when many other players will quit the tournament. If players like this baby are allowed to play tournaments you will kill the last confidence in our community.
It's a shame that DOW/Steam did not delete these accounts.

I play some games one month ago and when he knows he's losing, wait for the end of the time hoping that your server disconnects.
Something that unfortunately happened to me.
Moreover one who has used racist terms does not deserve any chance of forgiveness.

So I thank Dandee and Dale and some others, who organize tournaments, where u meet and play fair and good players like dea, sysy or all the others, that disappeared the last months. Without tournaments, there are really too many poor people without any pride.
