Hi,

Here are a few things I noticed when trying the new beta.

1) News:
Pressing on news item in main menu does nothing. It does not open the news article. This occurs on both Steam and iOS beta.

2) End game score animation stuck on (old bug):
Old bug remains with ticket destination highlights stuck on at end game scoring. This always occurs when you press the fast forward button to skip end game scoring. Whichever ticket is being animated at the time will have its destinations highlighted and stuck on.

3) Retry connection popup:
This is a great new feature however it doesn’t seem to be working yet. At the end of a game I deliberately activated airplane mode and the popup immediately appeared but when I reconnected to wifi and pressed retry it does not appear to reconnect to TTR online. I could not send or receive chat messages so I had to return to homescreen and relaunch app.

4) UK Tech cards glitch (old bug):
I notice the old bug with technology cards (risky contracts & equalising beam) remains. The technology cards appear to be available for purchase (do not get greyed out) even after the colour deck has been depleted and shuffled. However if you attempt to purchase it, it tells you that you are too late.

Yes, sorry about that. We want to revamp the final scores screen, and this has unfortunately been postponed.

For that one too, I'm sorry, we had not enough time to work on it.

Hi Ben,

I'm trying to reproduce the problem with the retry connection popup, and so far I didn't notice any problem.

I try to reproduce it on an iPhone and a Mac, during the game, during the end game animation, and on the end game score screen.

Can you be more specific on the way you encounter this issue ? And on which device it happens ?

Also, sometimes it could be needed to either wait a bit before retrying the connection, either retry several times. It depends how fast your device wifi sets back up.

Hi Lucie,

I will test this more thoroughly when I get a chance however here is what I did originally.

1) I tested this when on the end game score screen on my iPad Pro 9.7”.

2) Open control centre with swipe gesture and turn airplane mode on

3) Notice that retry connection popup shows immediately

4) Return to control centre and turn airplane mode off

5) Wi-Fi reconnects and I press retry connection & popup goes away

6) Any chat messages I attempt to send do not send. None of the chat messages my opponent sends is received

7) Press home button to return to homescreen and relaunch Ticket to Ride app

8 ) Resume game from resume folder - Now I can see chat messages my opponent sent


Hope that helps. Let me know if you need more details. I will post an update after I have tested it more thoroughly.

A couple more bugs...

5) End game share crash still occurs despite beta notes saying it is fixed.

iPad Pro 9.7” share > save photo causes crash to homescreen and no screenshot saved. Occurs for both standard & advanced screenshots.

If you share > save to files it does not crash


6) 1190 rank player joined game despite 1200 minimum required

I was just playing a game of France with minimum rank requirement of 1200. Despite this my opponent joined my game with a rank of 1190
I have never had this occur before. My rank is 1400s
I thought maybe a glitch caused the setting to change but on completing the game I confirmed that it was still set to 1200.

I tested the retry connection further and it definitely does not reconnect to the game at all. Not only chat does not work but a turn played does not register.

I also notice that the steam version does not have this feature and instead an error pops up after a short time and pressing ok returns you to the lobby. Despite this it appears as though the player is still online & in game from the other players perspective.
