https://www.daysofwonder.com/memoir44/editor/view/?id=21743

https://www.daysofwonder.com/memoir44/memoire_pdf/?id=21751

Game 1
https://www.daysofwonder.com/memoir44-online/en/battle/?id=7 8740742

Game 2
https://www.daysofwonder.com/memoir44-online/en/battle/?id=7 8741597

Two tense battles! In the first game I was lucky enough to have just the right cards to be able to respond to Gheintze's final attack on my left flank.

In the return match Gheintze struggled to kill my engineers. And yes, the medics did come in very handy!

El Hatian
Aller : VCX1302 (alliés) - Gheintze (axe) : 6-3 (62-35)
Retour : VCX1302 (axe) - Gheintze (alliés) : 3-6 (48-37)
Total : VCX1302 - Gheintze : 9-9 (110-72) soit 3-1 en points

Game 3
https://www.daysofwonder.com/memoir44-online/en/battle/?id=7 8742706

Game 4
https://www.daysofwonder.com/memoir44-online/en/battle/?id=7 8743768

In the third game I had the perfect cards! I moved my troops into the center … prepared for a devastating punch through Gheintze's center. There was nothing he could do, due to useless cards. Sorry Geoff!

In the fourth game for once I had de lesser cards … And the dice didn't help either. All I could do was sit back, relax and get slaughtered. Which Gheintze gladly did! He build up a strong attack from the left flank to center … I just could try to get a couple of medals.

After the fog of war had settled, I can only say this : Thanks Geoff for 4 great battles. And as always, it was a real pleasure to play this lovely game with you. I hope to see you soon, online or IRL, that does not matter … as long as we're both in good health! (And your family as well!)

Jeronimon vs Lucky91

This is not a story for the feeble-hearted.

[Desert War] El Haitan
Game 1:
Jeronimon (Allies) 6 medals, 27 fig vs Lucky91 (Axis) 5 medals, 22 fig
Game 2:
Jeronimon (Axis) 6 medals, 22 fig vs Lucky91 (Allies) 1 medals, 12 fig

Match Result Jeronimon vs Lucky91 2-0 games 4-0 points 12-6 medals 49-34 fig

Replay1
I positioned one inf in the long gully to protect the mines in there, and put the 2 artilleries on the red lines (blocking my inf in the gully, not a good story. Sad )
We exchanged 2 infantries each on my right flank, where Luc advanced aggressively. The men in the gully died a horrid death at the hands of German Engineers. I was lucky enough to get one of his armor units on a TFH and weakening the other. But it cost me an artillery. 4-3 1 artillery unit left and three anti tank inf (1 of 2 fig). Luc slowly started to advance on my far left bunker and pinging at the 2 men inf. It was not looking good. But the engineers attacked and flagged me into a position to destroy a singel German tank on my baseline. I thought the inf was going to die but Luc had nor more cards there. He then artillery bombarded the 2 inf unit to death, 5-4 the score.
But that allowed me to reposition my artillery forward to shoot at a lonely German on the baseline. He fled. I Had to put one of my remaining inf in El Haitan and shoot at the inf trying to get to El Haitan via the field bunker, reducing them to 2 fig Luc retaliated and the whole centre attacked my Artilleryreducing it to 1 fig, but failed to kill it because the bunker boys did not block my retreat. I then killed them and shot at the engineers in the far left bunker. 5-5 Luc desperately tried to barrage the lone arty into submission, but flagged it of the hill. I then killed the far left engineers for a very "eye through the needle" victory. A very close and tense match.

Replay2
The most boring match we played all evening. My Germans went up the right flank and cleared the bunker. My Germans went up the left flank and cleared the Bunker next to El Haitan. Then with a General advance they went up both flanks cleared the left flank bunker shot an infantry on my right flank and shot one arty figure there. A Firefight by Luc snagged him a 2 fig Armor Unit. 4-1 the score.
My Barrage took out another British 2 fig inf. Luc's artillery shot at my engineers in the gully and I retaliated by Armor Assaulting it and destroying it for a 6-1 win.
Good cards and ok dice made this one a walk in the park.

Going into the next battle with a 4-0 lead in points was certainly nice.

Operation Chariot/St. Nazaire Raid
Game 3:
Jeronimon (Allies) 7 medals, 19 fig vs Lucky91 (Axis) 6 medals, 28 fig
Game 4:
Jeronimon (Axis) 7 medals, 28 fig vs Lucky91 (Allies) 6 medals, 22 fig

Match Result Jeronimon vs Lucky91 2-0 games 4-0 points 14-12 medals 47-50 fig

Replay1
My British troops were landing in the night and the cards were not really pointing left right or middle. I started in the middle and tried to position my troops for a Firefight (but not to obviously. Whiffed on a unit at the Normandie doc that kept 1 fig alive and lost my Engineers for it. Kept at it positioning for the firefight and lost another unit in the middle to the single man. Then finally Firefighted and cleared the right bunker and left one man standing in the town near the U-Boot Dock. Got some shelling from tanks but after that killed both single inf and started up the left flank with a TFH. 3-3 the score. Heavy fighting on the left left the score at 5-4 in Luc's favor. But I had my Eye on Normandie Dock. Invaded it for the medal and cleared the bunker there but also fought on the right flank playing my second Pincer Move of the game. 5-6 the score. Got killed in the Normandie Dock buildings. 6-5 for Luc again. Then ran into the Normandie dock again and gambled on a flag to get three Panzers of the U-Boot Dock and succeeded for a 7-6 win. Pfiew
Again cards got to me when I needed them (some I already had) and I could react very well to all Luc was trying. The Gung-Ho came in really handy also.

Replay2
Last battle of the day and already through to the Semi-Finals. Smile
Luc made short work of the two infantries in the forward towns. A direct from HQ and Firefight did not get me but one medal. But Luc had a hard time coming of the beach and I snagged another unit for a 3-2 lead. We then switched to the artillery flank and it was hard fought. 4-2 form me. 5-4 to Luc. 5-5 and it looked like the end. I had four units surrounding a 4 fig infantry and tow of this could shoot at a 2 fig engineer inf that was holding one of the Normandie dock town squares. But after six dice (with no retreat) there were still 2 fig left. My Singel German holding the other two square of the Normandie dock shot hit only 1 Brit and got Stiff Upperlipped to death. 6-5 for Luc again. He then could not find a medal to close the deal and I could BEL it to the 2 fig engineers holding one of the Normandie Dock building kill them and take the Dock for my final medal and a 7-6 victory.

Again cards helped me greatly. Smile

Apart from game 2 all the games ended with only a medal difference between us, so Luc could have easily won some of those games. But Alas for him it was not to be this evening.

Smile

Congratulations, Frederik, you are qualified for semi-final.

But the score is surprising : I think the number of figures is false , the sum of the medals for the first scenario is 9 for Gheintze and not 7 and you shared the points for the second scenario.

The final score is VCX1302 vs Gheintze 6-2 points 23- 18 medals.

but you are the Winner !

LAst match this evening :

Saint-Nazaire / opération Chariot :
DoctorSchizzo (Alliés) - Photios (Axe) : 7-5 / 25-29

https://www.daysofwonder.com/memoir44-online/fr/battle/?id=7 9241578

Retour
DoctorSchizzo (Axe) - Photios (Alliés) : 7-4 / 27-17

https://www.daysofwonder.com/memoir44-online/fr/battle/?id=7 9244363

DoctorSchizzo - Photios : 4-0 / 14-9 / 52-46 fig

https://www.daysofwonder.com/memoir44-online/fr/battle/?id=7 9246634

Retour
DoctorSchizzo (Alliés) - Photios (Axe) : 6-5 / 29-24

https://www.daysofwonder.com/memoir44-online/fr/battle/?id=7 9249399

DoctorSchizzo - Photios : 4-0 / 12-8 / 52-46 fig

A bientôt

Quarter-final match against DDB73. I'm shocked to discover this is the first time we've ever played against each other.

St Nazaire Raid

DDB73 (Allies) - sam1812 (Axis) 3-7 / 14-29
Dice 38-49
Against infantry 10/28 (36%) vs 29-49 (59%%)
Against armor 4-10 (40%) vs ---

DDB73 (Axis) - sam1812 (Allies) 3-7 / 21-22
Dice 43-48
Against infantry 21/43 (49%) vs 19/42 (45%)
Against armor --- vs 3/6 (50%)

DDB73 - sam1812 ... 0-4 points / 6-14 / 35-51
Total 35/81 (43%) vs 51/97 (53%)

Game 1
https://www.daysofwonder.com/memoir44-online/en/battle/?id=7 9166404

The Redcoats were coming! They started with an Infantry Assault up their left flank. I brought my center tank and SF infantry over, and I drew an Assault Right. British TFH on their third turn wiped out my big tank and finished my lead infantry there, but my Assault bagged an infantry and engineer. Two turns later, my own Infantry Assault would complete two more kills on that flank.

An Allied Assault Center would eliminate my lead infantry near their right flank. Then, they Barraged my tank there, but only got a single hit. I responded with an Assault Center, killing an infantry and leaving an exposed engineer with only 2 figures. The British Right tried to finish off my tank, but only flagged it to safety. I responded with a Left card that killed one of the approaching infantries to win the battle. I didn't realize until afterward, when I saw the stats: DDB rolled only 36% against infantry, while I rolled 59%.

Game 2
https://www.daysofwonder.com/memoir44-online/en/battle/?id=7 9168121

After a couple of quiet turns, I charged forward with a 2-2-2, followed by a Close Assault with 4 units. This killed two 1-figure infantries, but a 2-fig in the Left bunker was only damaged.

I followed with a 2-0-2, flagging that infantry out of the Left bunker, and beginning a charge against the bunker on my right. A German TFH scored no kills. I Assaulted on my right, cleaning out the bunker there. The Germans advanced their light tank and SF infantry on my right, scoring two double-hits, but I responded with an Attack Right that eliminated both of those units. A German DHQ attacked three of my 2-fig infantries, but only scored single hits against each. I played a Probe Center, advancing one infantry into the medal town on my left, then close-assaulting the Panzer on the pier, and rolling a flag against him.

El Hatian - June 16, 1942

sam1812 (Axis) - DDB73 (Allies) 5-6 / 21-32
Dice 50 vs 71
Against infantry 19/46 (41%) vs 26-64 (41%)
Against armor --- vs 6/11 (55%)
Against artillery 2/4 (50%) vs ---

sam1812 (Allies) - DDB73 (Axis) 5-6 / 22-25
Dice 47 vs 53
Against infantry 26/71 (37%) vs 23/46 (50%)
Against armor 6/11 (55%) vs ---
Against artillery --- vs 2/10 (20%)

sam1812 - DDB73 ... 0-4 points / 10-12 / 43-57
Total 45/83 (54%) vs 34/84 (40%)

GRAND TOTAL: DDB73 - sam1812 ... 4-4 points / 18-24 medals / 92-94 figures
92-209 (44%) vs. 94-194 (48%)

Game 3
https://www.daysofwonder.com/memoir44-online/en/battle/?id=7 9169867

I was loaded with cards for my left flank -- and Attack, and Assault, and a Move Out -- plus several more that I drew. All the ingredients for a winning offensive on that flank. Indeed, I did wipe out both British units on that flank, but it took me 8 turns, and I lost four units in the process.

Over my next 8 turns, I went up my right flank, killing both infantries there, and tying the score at 4-4, needing just one more medal to advance to the semi-finals. The British artillery finished off a 1-fig on my right. Then, on my 20th turn, I brought my remaining 1-fig tank back to the center and advanced my remaining 1-fig engineer to the end of the center wadi. The engineer rolled one hit on the adjacent artillery, and the tank rolled another, giving me a 5th medal, so I didn't mind so much when the PIAT immediately demolished my Panzer.

Game 4
https://www.daysofwonder.com/memoir44-online/en/battle/?id=7 9172541

Our final battle started with a bang, as I Barraged the Panzer on my left immediately off the board. The Germans started swarming forward on my left, but the next three kills also were in my favor, including the second Panzer.

However, there still were four German units on my left, and a German Assault completely wiped my two infantries off of that flank. A pair of 1-1-1s allowed my artillery to eliminate another infantry, but that just cleared the way for an engineer to nuzzle up and kill my artillery. I still led, 5-3, but I had no cards for my center.

The German engineer and artillery knocked out one of my center bunkers. I finally drew a center card, but my 4 dice against the engineer in the bunker only scored one hit. Then, a German Move Out killed an infantry on my right and my remaining bunker in the center. DDB swept the second half of the match, 6-5, 6-5, but I was still the victor for the day.

Diederik, thank you for an excellent match. I look forward to our next meeting.

This morning, I opened Facebook, and the first post I saw was an announcement that a longtime friend of mine passed away unexpectedly overnight. He was always young at heart, and a lover or board games. I decided I would dedicate today's match to the memory of my friend, Tim.

Game 1
https://www.daysofwonder.com/memoir44-online/en/battle/?id=8 0053296

Dawn came crashing onto the beach, as Doc rolled 3 stars before his first turn and two more for his third turn. The hits came crashing onto my center defenses, too, as I lost three units there before my fourth turn. Thankfully, I was able to retaliate by finishing off two weakened British units. On my sixth turn, I managed to get a 4-3 lead in kills, and thought I had decent chances -- but an Allied Move Out killed two of my weakened units and a full-strength infantry. I had left Town A, and the British had a unit in it. Game Over on the Allies' seventh turn. Pow! Zing!

Game 2
https://www.daysofwonder.com/memoir44-online/en/battle/?id=8 0056104

Daylight was out of breath for this game -- full light didn't come until my tenth turn. In our preliminary maneuvering, with no visibility, their heavy Panzer moved to my right flank, and their light tank came over behind the Pump Station objective. This was going to be trouble; that's the flank I had the best cards for. A big German 2-2-2 destroyed a full-strength infantry on my left and left two others near my right with 1 figure each. I went Behind Enemy Lines to kill the light tank on my left and an infantry in the center, with one of my 1-figs taking refuge in the water. Unfortunately, the Germans played TFH, rolled 4 orders, and notched a kill.

Now began a scrum on the right, as I Attacked, and the Germans Assaulted in return with 5 orders and a kill. The kills were now even, 3-3. Fast forward to my tenth turn. Visibility finally reached 6. Kills were even, 5-5, but Doc had his infantry in Town A. I played Armor Assault, killing an infantry on my left and moving an engineer within striking distance of the Dock objective. But a German Attack Right knocked out an infantry on that flank for a German win.

I was now down 4-0 in match points. Gulp.

Game 3
https://www.daysofwonder.com/memoir44-online/en/battle/?id=8 0062067

The Brits scored their first kill on their seventh turn, against my infantry that had broken through some wire in the center. Two turns later, on a 4-order TFH, my tank finished off the bazooka on my right and double-flagged the infantry there out of its bunker. I eliminated him with an Armor Assault (and I re-drew TFH), but then British artillery picked off an infantry on my right.

My second TFH activated both tanks, my engineer in the long wadi, and my artillery. The engineer and one tank each rolled a grenade against the sandbag artillery, my other Panzer quadruple-hit a back-row infantry, and the artillery took a nibble off one of the bunker infantries. Next turn, my engineer went Behind Enemy Lines, finished off that bunker, and went back into the wadi. The Brits eliminated my Left tank. The last two British SWA units came out of protection to go after my engineer in the short wadi, but my engineer, artillery, and armor combined to eliminate one of them for the final kill. This battle took a remarkable 59 minutes.

Now, it all came down to game 4.

Game 4
https://www.daysofwonder.com/memoir44-online/en/battle/?id=8 0067500

As the Allies, my initial hand included Air Power, so I used it against the armor and infantries on my right, and I got two hits against the tank. But neither side got any kills for a long time. Finally, between their 7th and 10th turns, the Germans killed an infantry in each section, and I finished off the tank on my right. I trailed, 1-3, with an empty left flank and no idea how I would catch up.

Meanwhile, in the long wadi, an engineer was trying to pick the second figure off of my artillery, but it couldn't finish off the last figure. Finally, I eliminated the engineer, instead. (The other two engineers, 1 figure apiece, were standing along the back wall like seventh grade boys an a school dance, and a German 1-fig on my far left was dodging the artillery shells on its way back out of range. And I ran out of cards that could order my guns. On his 18th turn, Doc played a Recon Center, and I Countered it and drew Artillery Bombard.

A TFH emboldened the remaining 1-fig Panzer to venture within range of my bazooka, and then I killed it. We had each played 20 turns, and the score was 3-3. Then, I drew Firefight, and used it to finish off a 1-fig on my left. With the score at 4-4, the Germans got an infantry onto the hill adjacent to the medal town -- but between a battle-back and an artillery shot, I killed it. Then, a full-strength infantry began approaching from my far left. My artillery fired once for two hits, and then a second time for two more hits. Game over. On my 26th turn. In all of my Memoir games, ever, this was only the 11th time I've ever gone to at least 26 turns on a standard-sized board. This was an absolute bloodbath: The Germans had lost 39 figures; five of their six surviving infantries had either 1 or 2 figures left. And my tw surviving infantries had only four figures between them. The battle had taken 1 hour and 23 minutes.

I had won El Hatian by 5 medals, after losing St Nazaire by 4.

The entire match lasted 5 hours from start to finish, plus another half hour to get our hearts to stop racing and do some post mortems. Doc played four incredible games, and lost heroically. I just happened to have a bit more luck today.

Battle report : "It ain't over till the fat lady sings …"

In the first game daylight came very early and allowed Jeronimon to target my commando's whilst swimming … I started on my left and was able to clear the bunker in two turns, but in the meantime my horonable opponent was able to bring his armour to the beach and wipe out a full strength infantry unit in a single roll. Payback was sweet and came in a 4 hits out of 4 dice rolled and 3 hits out of 3 dice rolled. In both cases this meant a medal more for me and a unit less for Jeronimon. But on the other flank, Jeronimon managed to destroy my flank even before my "grand attack" had started.

All in all, this was a very quick game (less than 15 minutes!!!) were we both rolled about 62/63% hits.

After battle 1 = VCX1302 -Jeronimon ==> 5-7

In the second game, sunlight arrived as promptly as before. Jeroen started to attack my center and shifted to my left flank. My troops stood their ground and even destroyed some units. (Too bad that second engineer unit survived …)

Instead of trying to hold back Jeroen on my left flank, I decided to "rush" towards medals on my right. I could pin Jeroen's forces on the beaches and made really good use of flags

At the end of this battle, I had to face a tough dilemma : I needed one more medal, but which was the best choice to continue??? Should roll 7 dice against a 2 fig inf unit in the sea? Or should I try to eliminate one of Jeroen's units on the medal positions? A tough choice … I went for the "easy" medal and finished the game with a lead of 1 medal. (Instead of trying to deprive Jeroen one more medal.

After battle 2 = VCX1302 -Jeronimon ==> 12-11

The third game … I started foolishly and after a couple of rounds I had only 1 tank fig left. All the rest had gone … I pressed the attack in the center, but failed to destroy the units. Jeronimon's troops had a better aim and claimed medal after medal.

I lost this battle with a three medal difference …

After battle 3 = VCX1302 -Jeronimon ==> 15-17

In the fourth and final game, my artillery managed to weaken the opponents units, but failed to detroy the units. And Jeroen managed to drag his 1 fig infantry to safety. At the end of the game, Jeroen had 4 single fig infantry units on the board. Too bad they were not linked … That's why I had to save my "air attack" to be played as my very last card.

I this fourth game, luck favoured me! Jeroen's armour unit had to roll 3 times to destroy my single fig arty on my left flank. 4 misses, 3 misses and finally three hits in a single roll!

After 4 games the dust settled and the fog of war lifted. And I came out victorious with the smallest of margins : 1 medal!

After battle 4 = VCX1302 -Jeronimon ==> 21-20

Sorry Jeroen, it's a pity only one of us can move on to the finals! But you really made it a tough competition and yes, I've learned for these two games! Thanks for these tense battles!

I'm looking forward to facing you once more for a game IRL after the corona lockdown has finished.

Don't be like your plastic soldiers … but stay healhty!

Allright! So far, so good … One more opponent to face … Sam1812! Yes, that's the same guy that eliminated me from the World Boardgame Championships this very year! Will I get my payback? Or will Sam continue his (lucky) streak with another scalp …

Game 2
https://www.daysofwonder.com/memoir44-online/en/battle/?id=8 0801652

In the first game, I was able to defend Saint-Nazaire rather well. It took a while before lights were up to 3 hexes, which I needed to use my armour units. Sam sent his left flank but rolled only 1 hit (out of 3 dice). I countered by sending reinforcements from the center, meanwhile rolling 4 dice on his infantry … tada … 4dice = 4 hits = 1 medal. What a nice start! At this point I was quite sure the right flank would be mine! (Having 7 units to push Sam's 3 remaining units back into the sea.)

After 5 rounds, I was leading 4-0 … Sit back, relax and shoot units trying to get out of the ocean. But then Sam made a big push on his right flank. I missed the right card to finish the game quickly … Just any card to order multiple units on my right flank … but no.

After 9 rounds, I reclaimed the medal from the city, but I could not prevent Sam to gain 5 medals.

The return match :
I decided to try and win the left flank. A bad choice … I won two medals whilst losing 4 units. Not a good "return on investment". had the dice rolled a bit more in my favour …
But I most call myself lucky it didn't end at that point … 6-2 lead for Sam, and enough misses so I get another chance.
At 7-4 the game is over.

After the first game, Sam leads by 1 medal. And now we're off to the desert.

Game 4
https://www.daysofwonder.com/memoir44-online/en/battle/?id=8 0811932

In game 3 Sam start moving up the gully with his engineers. I start firing with my artillery. I focus on Sam's tanks, but apparently I was using the wrong ammo …

It took 10 turns before the first medal was won. A bit surprisingly, it was me with a kind of kamikaze attack with a unit I deemed lost. But in fact, that single infantry unit survived 9 more turns, and helped to weaken Sam's units.
Sam was able to redraw his weakened units and send in fresh troops. Once and again the weak units slipped from my reach …
Except for the tank that I could destroy in turn 22, thus securing my left flank.

Sam made a big push on his left flank. But lucky for me (in turn 28), I could deal a devastating blow to Sam's troops. Hitting 7 out of 8 dice. No medals, just a bunch of units at 1 or 2 figurines.

Turn 30 : I destroy his engineers (medal 3)
Turn 31 : Sam destroys my right flank (medals 3 and 4) I have only 4 units left … and Sam have (amongst others) 5 units at 1 figurine.

Turn 33 : (4-4) Sam attempts to gain victory with Behind Enemy Lines, but only one hit on my artillery foils this attempt.

Turn 37 : Sam plays General Advance, but does not make all the moves he should / could have done.

Turn 41 : (5-4) Sam's single figure engineer shoots from the gully. His 2 dice are both hits, which reduced my antitank unit to a single figure … And yes, the "Stiff Upper Lip" can generate a victory!

Sorry Sam, but thank you very much. It was necessary for you to attempt this. It was "do or die".

Game 4 (The overall result has changed from -1 to +1 medal for me)

Could I do better than Sam? I had learned to use the gullies. A very important feat in this scenario.

I started with a General Assault. Not so much as to make a strong attack, no … It was to move my most precious units out of harms way : the artillery and tanks moved up from the base line. And an engineer unit dived into the gully.

Turn 11 : Not a single scratch on Sam's units. One of my armour is down to 1 figurine. So I play Medics (since I have that card), but none of the six (!!) dice restores a figurine. And what do you guess, next turn that single fig armour becomes a nice mantlepiece for Sam. The first medal is scored …

I decide to try it on the other flank and begin to assault the right flank.

Turn 18 : I managed to weaken Sam's left flank, but he scores another medal (thanks to a 3 hit ambush)

Turn 21 : The gamechanger! I roll two pineapples and destroy Sam's left artillery unit. This left Sam only 1 figurine left from the central hill. This made me feel confident. Sam tried to get most out of his single infantry figurine, but rolled only 1 hit out of 6 dice. And he even used a counter attack to be able to have another shot. In hindsight : this should have giving me a clear indication of some of Sam's cards … But I failed to notice this. With that CA gone and the other one in my hands, I was eager to use the Air Power card, but first I played a recon on the right to give the "coup de grace" at that single fig unit.

Turn 27 : The Air Power gives me just what I wanted : a flag to push the artillery from the medal. And yes, the sandbags are gone as well!

By now I decide to take it slow. Yes! For once I wouldn't rush in … So I moved my artillery forward to have two dice on the antitank infantry on the hill.

Turn 36 : Sam (finally) destroys my infantry unit he was pinging at and send his regular infantry into the gully to root out my engineers. But my engineers get the upperhand (3 figs vs Sam's 1fig)

Turn 38 : Sam's last turn : He uses BEL to block my engineers, but scores only 2 hits. Lucky for me, I had saved my counter attack for a special occasion … And this was a very special occasion, my engineers could roll 4 dice at Sam's poor single figure regular infantry in the gully and thus giving me a fifth medal. And the final move from the BEL let me take the medal from the town.

Final scores : VCX1302 vs sam1812 : 23-20 (104-85)

Wow! We spend about 4 hours playing these four scenario's. And yes, I enjoyed every single moment of it. Sometimes we curse at the dice and cards we get (or our opponent plays). Sometimes we're surprised by genius moves made by our opponents.

Perhaps this victory balances out the fact that you eliminated me from the WBC (which you won!) Perhaps it balances out the fact that you eliminated my brother in the playoffs of this tournament. But as you already stated last week, reaching the final of the Champion's Trophy (with such a strong field of players) is quite an achievement and reward in itself!

Sam thanks for (another) 4 great games! And thanks for everything you did (and are still doing) for the M44 community!

And a big thank you to Lucky and everybody involved in this fantastic tournament!

Bravo to the two finalists! And to the winner who adds a new beautiful line to his record.

The little final is a bit the same, two excellent players who also compete. The scores of the semi-finals proved how much we were dealing with a quartet of champions!
