Without cheating and aborting you might be at 1400 or 1500. Smile

Heh! He loses constantly to players ranked lower than that...except of course that the losses never get counted. Without the cheating he wouldn't sniff 1400.

Hello to all,

I'm working with The TTR Team at Asmodee Digital. We are currently looking into G7S game's and attempting to retrieve logs and game IDs where there might have been some exploit.

We will keep you all posted on this, don't hesitate to provide any info that could help us fill up a flaw in our game.

Thank you dearly for being such a supportive community.

And? Found something?

Re:WARNING Mon, 09 October 2017 18:33
Thanks for recognizing this problem. I have pictures to show exactly what happened on my end.

I have played G7S 4 times and all 4 times he has done this to me (one before and twice after the previous time I messaged on this thread). Just figured out how to add him to my ignore list though so I'm stoked (I used to think it was only possible to do this after completing a game with him which is impossible because he always loses and then leaves early). But still don't want to see him doing it to other players so I'm happy to help out with this problem.

Unfortunately I can't figure out how to add pictures to this message. Basically when you have G7 beat he waits until seconds are left and then aborts the game. For some reason instead of a bot replacing him the game just ends and I get a message saying "You ran out of time. The game is aborted."

So annoying to play him. You are basically stuck either letting him have the win (because even when I have horrible routes he is still easy to beat) or you have to wait for the time to run out for the game to end.

Hope this problem is resolved soon. I look forward to seeing someone else ranked number one. If anyone wants to explain to me how to post pictures I would be happy to. They basically show exactly what happens for each game and what I am seeing in terms of what he is doing to cheat.

Thanks again.

Hi Wdellis, you can report abuse and add your screenshots in a word document, or however you like. Pls follow the instructions below. I don't know how to post pictures in the forum (I assume you need to write an html link to a picture file online, like imgur or so) , so if someone could explain that, that would be helpful to many.

Truckerteller wrote on Tue, 06 June 2017 19:06

To everyone: There is a page on DoW to report abuse, but it's hard to find. Make sure to take a screenshot and include it in your post.

Under the tab "About", click "find our how to contact us"

https://www.daysofwonder.com/en/contact/

Click on Digital Games > Report Abuse

DoW will be far more inclined to react to that, than reading this "WARNING" thread.

Edit: Never mind, Asmodee has made it even harder to report abuse, so now you can't attach screenshots or files to the form when you contact them.

On the flipside, I'm sure the amount of complaints go down even further like this, so they can boast to their investors that complaints are down and customer satisfaction is up. Yay !

G7 did it again. Somehow he managed to join my game despite me blocking him here at days of wonder. Once again I am unable to block him after the game because he lost... again... and then drew out the clock so he could cheat at the end. I am now 5 for 5 against him and he has cheated all 5 times.

Don't worry guillaumefournet is taking care of it. In case he's not there, there should be some other employee from Asmodee here in a couple of months, pretending to care about it. That should be enough to keep the community quiet for quite a while.

Seriously, my message might be moderated. In the case it's not, it would probably mean no one is caring about. In the case it is, it would show a poor management of the community. Could be a Morton's fork if it were noticed. But I'm betting it won't. Worst case I'm banned. Didn't happen to g7s so why would it happen to me, I'm not cheating... Worst of the worst cases my eventual dupes would be banned. That would show they can track dupes.

There are no top players who you beat "regularly".

You do beat top players occasionally, which any 1300 or whatever player is capable of because the game includes some element of chance. But because you cheat and erase your losses, your scattered victories appear to be a steady streak of winning. Which in reality they aren't.

You also cheat to erase your losses to lower-ranked players like me, in some cases players rated as low as the 1200s. That has an even-larger impact on inflating your rating and I suppose your sad little ego.

Any of us could win the World Series of Poker if we could simply cancel all our losing hands and have only our winning hands be counted. That doesn't mean that any of us are actually elite poker players.

Urgestein, WT, Mudda, scorps, Sivorro, Will, ATLeague, An-Team, etc. All positive record against them. Did you beat one of them just only one time? I doubt. And the list goes on and on... You should improve your skills instead of writing silly comments about ELO that you obviously doesn't understand. For example, the games that I've played one month ago don't count anymore in my ranking nor in yours. It's only the last few games that count. So ELO is based on streaks.
And no, I don't lose against 1200s, simply because I don't play them!!

cu in Steam if you have the cojones.

2-1 vs An-Team ~1750
1-1 vs Urgestein ~1818
1-0 vs Stason ~1808
My opps had an average of ~1782.
4/6 =66,7% => +122
1782+122=1904
Conclusion is : my ranking is lower than it should be.

Here is simply your biggest problem you have to understand: You cheated! Repeatedly!

As such no one can trust you!!

(I am one of the more "give a person the benefit of the doubt" and trusting players and even I do not trust you.)

In many ways, you would do better to start all over with a different account and NEVER cheat with it.
AND never be as crude as you had been in the past. (at least that part seems to have cleared up lately)

How can we ever get that through your head?

I'll explain it in French, because it's my mother tongue; it'll be easier for me and I know that you're able to understand French.

Cas A : +5.1 1305
Cas B : +1.5 1652

The lying cheater wrote above: "And no, I don't lose against 1200s, simply because I don't play them!!"

The game log shows that yesterday you played against a 1081 and a 1328; it also shows you playing numerous games against 1400s and 1300s on many different days.

Of course the game log shows only the games you won, because you cheat to get rid of many games that you're losing, so it is not a complete record. Meanwhile several times a week on Steam another 1200/1300/1400 new player jumps into the live chat full of confusion because they were playing you and winning but, oops! "What happened??" Etc. Luckily for you there is always a steady stream of new players who haven't yet heard about your method of cheating.

Basically you are a 1300- or maybe 1400-level player who, by cheating, creates the appearance of being an 1800. This new horseshit about an ELO ranking only reflecting recent games is kind of funny but really is just a distraction.

The core point remains: anyone who erases most of his losing games and retains only his winning games can create a very high false rating. That would work in any competitive game which combines skill and some chance, whether it used the ELO scoring system or another one.

WHY someone would care so much about having a false high rating in an online game is a head-scratcher, kind of sad really but that's your business. Your cheating is or should be Days of Wonder's business, and they ought to put a stop it.

The glitch has been fixed about a month ago. For now, the game starter actually receives a score penalty if a game was not finished in a proper way. Fe quiting(like G7s did it before) or even server crash. G7s did receive this penalty(minus about 7 score points) for some reason after a game against tiffut:
10/19/2017 86 G7S-Frontenac won this game tiffut(0)

With all the respect, it's better to talk about something you understand actually. His real rating is not 1300, 1400 and 1500 for sure. Much higher actually, but still a puzzle for me, how much.
For sure he is not in top 5 in real skill both in USA 2er and in multi(which he barely ever played, I mean serious game), but has a good potential, considering young age and pretty low experience.
Almoast all top USA 2er players play a lot of games against much weaker opponents, bellow 1600 points and they are actually like blind kittens against tops 2er.

All six games including one against myself (and many more for sure) G7s is talking about were played on java without any kind of cheating. Thats 100% true. Although I am not sure he still doesn't use second accounts when playing on steam and I personally, don't trust him at all at this occasions. Steam-played games are sometimes viewable from the lower score player's side.

ELO would work here perfectly like in chess, if all the games were played only between this games's pros, like stable at least 1700+ rating(at least 1900+ 2er). In this case for sure neither G7s nor other active playing tops overall score would be much higher then 1800 on a long distance.

P.S. Thats all being said not to defence G7S, but for fairness of the discussion.

Well, it's quite easy:

There's a long list of top players who won their tournaments and reached #1 without cheating. And every single player from that list is a better champion (or closer to the top 5) than you. Laughing

And now: Goodbye cheater!

Frankly, I'm currently #1 without cheating. If I had the chance to participate in the League/SPWC, I'd at least won one.
Finally, send your champion in a BOE if you're too weak to play me.

I am so glad it's not just me... Here's my post below from Oct 28, at approx 10:30am Arizona time, this was my game with GS7 - Frontenac. (it's happened to me at least 3 times, and he only does this cheat when he knows he's been beat.)

Oct 28th:
I have an issue I want to bring to everyone's attention. I believe that a player has been cheating on the online platform for Ticket to Ride. Before you dismiss this, please let me explain...

I just played "G7S-Frontenac" in a 30-minute timed ranked game. He played once every ten minutes until 10 minutes were left. I played immediately every time. We played the entire game and I clearly had him beat.

He waited again to play his very last play and at 5 seconds left he "left the game"... then I received I notification (with 25 minutes remaining on my clock) that I ran out of time and that I aborted the game.

This is not the first time this has happened with this one player, and he has the highest rank on the game for this reason. I ask that you help me discontinue his account as this is obviously cheating.

I felt like I needed to bring this to your attention, as this is ruining the fun for me, and I'm sure other competitive players.

Thank you.

Now that I know it's not just me, I'm going to attempt to play him again and screenshot what he does. (TTR is asking for prove) My question to you who run this forum, is this thread not proof enough!?

Let's get the app fixed too so he can be exposed for the player he really is!!

I do have screenshots. Who should I message at days of wonder? I can show exactly what happens. The screenshots show what G7 does and what error message I see.

DOW staff is no longer responsible for anything that matters in this lobby. With the purchase of the DOW company the new owners´ focus is on MONEY, not the well-tended lobby/community...

Please post them here(you can use image sharing site, google "image posting file share" fe) at least our fake champion could stop finally pretending like his is playing fair and all of you guys lying about him. DoW people will probably see it as well. Thanks!

P.S. I'm sorry for being wrong about G7S stopped cheating(to say correctly being forced to stop cheating). Looks like he is finding new and new ways to play unfair and score free points.

Yes, I saw a fresh round of complaints about him the last couple of days on Steam. The descriptions of his specific cheats were cryptic but did sound new.

I just wanted to post a good news story on this thread for a change.

3 days ago two players (in different games) decided not to block me at game-end out of sympathy for the ridiculous beating I was taking from the dealer.

Then yesterday I had a great position in a 5er then lost connection and the bot took an extra ticket - but the remaining players refused to take advantage by blocking me out of that ticket, even though it cost them points.

All competitive people and all good players. But above all nice people. You know who you are - thank you.

The community is not dead...

Hey, looks like we have a new cheat in our midst, what fun.

Hourrapapa has won 58 consecutive games against Cachou-et-Spirou to achieve his 1768 rating, including some by almost 400 points (!) which suggests that either Cachou is the worst player ever to play the game, or (more likely) he is a second account

Another one on the leaderboard to disregard. We really ought to have a separate cheater lead table. On which subject welcome back New Kleer to the top 20 this morning

What a waste of time the ratings are becoming these days, a shame asmodee doesn't give a damn

Blessings upon all of you who remain true players...

Very Happy

Cachou-et-Spirou has a current score of 1531 based on a bit less than 500 games played. All 2-player and almost all on the Europe maps. S/he has been winning nearly all the time _except_ for the games against Hourrapapa.

Hourrapapa is a much older account, more than 21,000 games played. S/he also plays almost exclusively 2-player and mostly on the Europe maps. Hourrapapa has not played any games against anyone other than Cachou-et-Spirou for more than a month now.

I'm not immediately grasping how having the newer account throw a bunch of games to the older one benefits this user. It appears that Cachou would if not for those Hourrapapa games have a score of at least the high 1600s, possibly above 1700. S/he has to keep playing the Cachou account against others (and winning) in order for the Hourrapapa account to then take score points from Cachou. Does that two-step process result in more points for the Hourrapapa account than simply winning games against the same players that Cachou is beating?
