Longest continuous path? Sat, 12 March 2016 18:51
My wife and I don't agree on what, "the longest continuous path" means. How long is this path?: From LA across the bottom to Miami; plus a run from El Paso to Denver, and a loop to Helena, Winnipeg, Duluth, Omaha and back to Denver?

It actually doesn't matter what path you take. You could weave in and out of the central cities or all around the outside...as long as your path took more trains that your opponent, you get the bonus!

Even if you can't make one continuous snake without retracing over some of the trains to keep counting? A "T" sitting on top of a circle?

I believe the rules are quite specific about this point; you can't ever recount any trains, so if you have a T, you would have to figure out which arm is longer and it would end up being more of an upside down "L" on a circle.

Does that help?
