But in short, it all depends on the respective scores of each player and how they ranked with respect to their starting score. This is how the system ends up being "self-leveling" - the more games you play, unless your skill level is changing, your score should theoretically not adjust much.

You'll lose more points if you had a higher rank than other players, but came in third. The person in fourth place may have had a lower score to begin with, so there isn't as much loss since their rank already reflected that they would do worse against the other three opponents.

Score : 6 - 8 / Objectifs 1-2 / 26 figs - 25 figs

On a de belles cartes tous les 2 pour démarrer. Au début l'allié prends rapidement 2 Médailles. Tour 16 grâce à un grignotage de l'axe, toute les unités alliés se retrouvent sur leur 2 lignes de départ. Une attaque aérienne de l'axe les amène à 5 médailles.
Réponse alliés par fusillade 5 / 4. Mais c'est sans compter sur une action héroïque de l'Axe à 6 dés..... résultat : Aucune unité d'activée Arghhhh !! Zéro pointer sur 6 dés !! assaut de blindé allié sur le flanc droit et c'est le village qui tombe ! Score 6 / 3 en faveur des alliés !! Sur une action héroïque allié, 7/ 5. Mais petit à petit l'axe remonte à 7/ 7 et termine la partie sur un tir de barrage.
Sacré partie où Rv a bien failli me mettre un sacré Ko dans tous les sens du terme javascript: insertTag(document.post_form.msg_body, '', ' Razz ');

Un retour qui démarre en ma faveur, une fusillade et une action heroïque m'améne à 4/3 au tour 8. Tout comme Rv le char alliés sur le flanc droit va remonter jusqu'au village. Tour 12 6/2 en ma faveur et RV ne peut franchement pas faire grand chose. il va sacrément s'accrocher pour remonter à 6/6 mais une infiltration et une attaque aérienne finiront la partie.

Score final :
Rv 12 médailles - Vlad 16 médailles / 44 figs - 61 Figs / Objectifs 3-4

Merci encore une fois à Rvgrigri pour ce match et son fairplay.
J'espère qu'on pourra se rencontrer très bientôt sur d'autres fronts.

Je ne pouvais pas toucher Bodega dans le retour. Il a joué très intelligemment, et il a roulé 50% plus de dés que moi.

Au moins, j'étais le seul joueur à vaincre Titanos par plus d'une médaille. Smile

So try to kick my ass away from that place before 2 weeks are over and the system eliminates me automatically. I will watch some games, especially of league, and surely come back, if somebody else enters this club. Smile

Thx all players, that passed my way to 1900+, and thx vene to be the honourable opp for the last step. Smile

it is a pleasure to play with you.

I had a dream that hardly will come true.
Organize a live tournament with all the top players.
Unfortunately i think the time of this fantastic game is ending.
It 'a shame because many new players are joining, but they can not find the stimulus that i had, to play against the best in the world.
Only DOW could sort it out but it is not in their interest.

I just hope that we can find in some tournaments, like the nation cup, not to die completely the community.

you have been a great ..... I will always remain.

I was the # 2 ranked Expert Player (1838 score) but am now # 3.

The two players above me play nothing but the bot (Johnny / Hermann) and in only a few scenarios with the favored side.

The the sole recent exception of playing an actual player by the # 2 ranked player. He lost to that opponent!

I guess my score and ranking will take a beating as I continue to play in TCOL, COOL and WOLF against some of the best players in the world. But I think it is more fun and a challenge to try and best these players than the bot.

How many man crew did the armored car and the tankette each have? With only a 2 or 3 man crew they would not have to be large. Just an observation.

So it's a vehicle, but when being targeted it's treated as Infantry. There's good evidence to go either way on this. I'll guess that Snipers can target them, but I'll predict that Richard will rule that they can't, and this way, I'll be right no matter what he says. Smile

If Snipers can hit them, any hits still would have to be rerolled, as with Tigers.

My son and I just completed an absurdly down to the wire, skin-of-your-teeth grand campaign with Operation Barbarossa. The entire 12-scenario campaign literally came down to a single roll at the very end.

Kudos to the designers for creating so many interesting scenarios.

The first round (first half of North, South and Center) was pretty much a dead heat.

Second round, I won the Center by a mere 24-23.

He took the North 20-18.

So we were 1-1.

It all came down to the South.

After the first three scenarios, I held a 14-11 lead. Close, but doable.

Except the Sea of Azov. What a bummer scenario for the Russians. In the second round he used a Firefight to drop 4 armor at my rear, with bonuses, and chewed up my line. (That is a SERIOUSLY overpowered move, but the rules seemed to allow it.)

I was aggressive with my front line infantry, though, and pushed at his baseline hard. Retreat flags at the baseline were my best friend.

Going into the late game, he lead 4-3. He had to win by 3 in order to win the campaign.

With an infantry unit with just one figure left pinned on his baseline and two of my infantry right there, plus an artillery within range, I played a Finest Hour. Slam dunk to guarantee at least a tie, right? Just one lousy figure to knock out, with even a retreat resulting in a kill.

My Finest Hour roll resulted in NO POSSIBLE MOVES.

...

Oh man.

Next round, his armor at my rear had an epic series of rolls, hitting 5 times on 6 dice to wipe out an artillery and a 3-man infantry unit, thus securing a 6-3 victory.

That put our South campaign at 17-17. A tie.

And our Grand Campaign? A razor thin 60-59, with him securing an Axis victory by a hair's breadth in literally the final rolls of the game.

Good stuff.
