I continue to write in English because my French is too rusty for that.

The timer issue (besides the bug):
In principle the timer is far better than the Bot on Java, agreed.
But if there is no chance to change it during game (Change = see below) you can either
*) set it to something challenging, with the problem that a player with internet problems loses the game - that is then worse than on Java, where I have to accept one turn by the Bot but still have a chance to win the game
*) set it to "forever" to avoid above problem - then some players will need "forever" and the idea of having a timer in the first place is gone.

The perfect solution would be: When a player is disconnected (and would be replaced by a Bot if that option had been chosen) the timer stops and the opponent can choose what he wants to do:
- wait with timer stopped until opponent returns
- quit the game and it doesn't count
- wait but let the opponent's timer count down and eventually kill him if he doesn't return on time.

I think we could do with just the option to increase the opp's timer if that is easier to implement.

First of all there is no such a thing as "timer bug" really. It was discussed before and I'll say it once more. The timer _never_ goes for both at the same time. It's just a graphic bug, your time is all yours. Quick rejoin- and all is fine.

You just want to complicate everything. We (guys who love playing on new platform) have no issues with timers, loosing connection etc. I have not a reliable connection. I'm actually playing NC on steam only because I don't want my team to loose a match because of me loosing connection. Just one game can easily decide much in such a competetive tournament. You set 30-40 minutes(or more if both agree) and It's more then enough even for well thought game. You can not accept "just one bot's turn" and still hoping for a win(in the middle of the game or later). We all know that when the game is _really competetive_ you will loose a won game(if not bot). Of coarse It's also true that you will loose a lost game with any bots actions. Why I have to hope for something anyway? Everyone wants the game to be fair? Everyone wants players to win games, not bots loosing them! Is that right or not? I am really curious...
If the player lost his connect completely("blackout") - ok most of us trust each other. The game will no be lost. The game will be replayed, at least I guarantee this from my side and I'm sure most players would agree with that. Zero difference with java at all really here.

You wrote above that It's so crucial and convinient for you when you can just click buddies then select a player and click to watch his game. Ridicolous, but I've played all these years and didn't know about this option. I've been opening all games list to choose wich I want to observe every time. Thanks deal! Smile

Hello everyone !

I'm the community manager of the (Asmodee official) French TTR Digital Facebook page. I was a huge fan of the board game, and I'm quite happy of the way the game turned out : very close to the original version, somewhat competitive... But as I'm sure you understand, animating a page dedicated to an online version of a board game is somewhat hard.

So I meant to ask you guys, THE online community. What type of content would YOU like to see ?

I would really like to create a beautiful community, bonded around their love for the game, but I'm having a hard time and I really need your help.

Thanks in advance, long live the game !

As many seem to be speaking of what to do with the two platforms, I would speak of the community feel which is what I thought you were going for. So improving the lobby view would be extremely important.

One reason I continue to be active in the TTR community (besides love of the game) is the chance to know other top players, and greet them, challenge them, and win and lose against them. I play other game sites, but the unique nature of TTR online is the dimension of community. Tournaments and Leagues help with that dimension. Without such, most of us would not really know top players. So one needs to factor in that dimension to make the community feel work.

UEG is adding thadd to their team, as approved by me.

Is it really possible for other teams at this stage?

Sorry folks... posted as a new topic instead of inside a thread, by accident!

Désolé les gars ... affiché comme un nouveau sujet au lieu de l'intérieur d'un thread, par accident !

--------------

A most strange match... the Germans won both games (yes, really!)

Results:
Deepnet vs. Gonzalan:
game1 (Axis/Allies): 8-4/0-2/30-16
game2 (Allies/Axis): 6-8/1-0/22-34

In game 1, every bit of luck went my way: cards, dice, and opponent's bad luck.

In game 2, I started with BEL and Ambush, to take the right city medal, and figured it would be an easy win from there! Alas, I did not factor in the excellent skills of my opponent, and some tough karma dice for me.

Deepnet wins, 3-1 I think in points.

=========
