Vote of Honesty - how flexible? Fri, 21 January 2011 16:12
I recently bought the game, and on our first play, a friend made an accusation which was refuted by another player. This led everyone to believe certain father was the culprit, and when we started making accusations, it turned out to be incorrect.

We we finished the game, which was won by the friend who refutted the first accusation, we realized, and she confirmed, that she had lied. That she had weighted the chance of being caught lying with the chance of getting everyone off track and she decided it was worth the risk.

From what I read in the rules, the Honesty rule is mandatory, noone should lie during the game.

So, for all of you veterans out there, what is your take? Is the vow flexible that people can decided to lie, which obviously adds an extra layer of complexity to the game (or kills the game if everyone starts cheating and not saying the truth) or should we made clear people understand that they cannot lie and be taken out of the game. Keeping good track of info can help find out who was lying.

Thanks for any advice on this,
