* It's nice 88's and priests have been added, but I just can't see myself using these units with the opposing side when the scenario so dictates: i.e. the Germans using priests for their mobile artillery and the Allies using 88's for their heavy anti-tank guns.It that case I really do prefer simply using the corresponding badges.

Agreed -- I'm hoping this is the first of two (or more) equipment packs, and that in the future we will get US or allied TDs (it would be cool to have an M24 or M36) and German StuGs for mobile artillery.

* It's great to finally have a French army. Then again do we have a french army? There are infantry figures but where are their tanks and artillery? Secondly, would it have been so much trouble to paint them brown or light blue? Their an army in their won right and not "equipment".

I actually thought the French were Italians and started to paint them as such. The great/overcoats gave them away in the end and I re-painted, but I might have been less confused if there had been artillery and (especially) tanks. I think for now, the Ha-Go Japanese tanks probably make the best stand-ins for early war French tanks. The Poles could use some tanks, too. But I'd love to see French tanks in Equipment Pack Two (or EP2, as I'm going to call it Smile )

As for the coloring, maybe it's time to start painting your own. I started to paint mine because I didn't care for the colors, and now I get as much fun out of painting new expansions as I do playing them.

* Many barrels are bent.

This is my biggest problem with the expansion. Most won't bend back, either, despite the hot water-cold water trick. I hope EP2 uses better plastic, or better packing, or both.

* The MG's and mortars are much too large for my test. I take it the EP is mainly meant to enhance aesthetics more than anything else. these two units, along with e.g. the sniper figure, does not really accomplish this, imho.

I actually like the MGs, and I really like the snipers - some of the best molds in the expansion, imho. But the mortars do look a little silly without a bipod or tripod(were there any mono-pod mortars of that size in the war?) Mortar or MG crews would have been nice, too.

* Instead of all the loose pieces that can be attached to the Churchill tanks (Hobart's funnies), I would have preferred to just have the Churchill along with badge or so to denote which exact variant in it is. This might have left some room for Hummels and 17 pounder AT guns, for example, which would have solved my main problem with the EP (first reason mentioned).

Yeah, some of the attachments work (I like the bridge ones, for example), but others, like the infamous mortars, are hardly worth the trouble.

Overall, I like more than I don't like, and to me it's important that the game is still growing and hasn't stagnated. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed on EP2...
