Are the 4 games showing available the only games you have available online?
If so, I am not going to pay to have full access. There are several games by DOW that I would love to play online. Unfortunately , the four games shown are none of them.
I am new to this. I was told of about this site from our local monthly mini convention.

Welcome guest429829

Currently the 4 games online are the only ones available at this time.

Will the other games be added onto the online feature? I just bought mystery of the abbey and put in the online code, thinking I would be able 2 play it online... (Ticket 2 ride online is still fun, but playing the other games would be great)

I Really hope Days of Wonder puts these other great games on the online component.

Along with the 4 here on the DoW website, there is Memoir '44 and the former DoW game, Battlelore, over on another site called vassal (see the various threads about that in the memoir 44 forum). There is also a rumored M44 Computer game that may or may not be in development. I just found out there is also Shadows over Camelot on vassal (though I'm not sure how popular it is there).

But isn't the whole point of boardgames to get you off computers? Very Happy Very Happy

Hey guys Im quite new as well and I do enjoy playing these games online, but I really suck at Memoir 44. Even the cards I use do nothing to help me win. Sad

I don't know if that is a plea for advice or just a plea for games other than Memoir '44.

Assuming the latter, although this is off-topic:

Memoir '44 is about managing your cards and ordering your units to work together. You can be dealt crummy cards and your opponent great cards. So there are times when there is little you can do but get destroyed. However, on balance, if you are losing, maybe your card/unit ordering strategy is off.

Most scenarios have an attacking side and a defending side.

For an example of card strategy, if you are the attacker, you don't want to start an attack in a section which you cannot support with future cards. So you have to plan ahead, make probes and other moves that don't commit you until you amass the cards you need to start an attack in one or more sections. If you can support attacks in more than one section across several turns, that can be a big advantage.

On defense you need to manage your cards as well, to prepare for the inevitable attacks.

But unit placement/movement and use of terrain is also important. For example, it's important to learn when to retreat and regroup, rather than face an overwhelming onslaught.

Maybe you need to watch your opponents with these things in mind and you might catch on.

There seems to be a general fault this weekend so nobody is able to login (TTR anyway).
Try again Monday.
